Friday November 30
BODEGA BAY – At 4:08 p.m. a caller reported a non-injury crash on Highway One at Smith Brothers Road.
Thursday November 29
BODEGA BAY – A camper reported a medical emergency at Doran Park. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Monday November 26
SALMON CREEK – A resident called for emergency medical aid at 8:15 p.m. on Lucille Ave. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Saturday November 24
CARMET – A tow truck driver reported his towee had fallen over the cliff at the Carmet Beach Parking lot. The driver was pulling the disabled vehicle onto his flatbed tow truck when the cable snapped. The vehicle’s driver rode the car to the bottom of the cliff about 75 feet down. The driver emerged from the wreck car with apparently only minor injuries.

DILLON BEACH – A resident of Beach Ave requested emergency medical aid. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Friday November 23
BODEGA BAY – At a resident at 4:08 p.m. of the 2600 block of Highway One requested emergency medical aid. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
MARIN COUNTY – A Shoreline Highway resident at 11:24 a.m.needed emergency medical aid and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

DILLON BEACH – At 4 p.m. Bodega Bay ambulance dispatched to Lawson’s Landing for a medical aid. One patient transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
Tuesday November 20
TOMALES – A neighbor reported at 1:03 a.m. a possible deceased man in Tomales town. Coroner’s case.
Sunday November 18
BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedic dispatched to a medical aid on El Camino Bella at 7:36 p.m. Patient evaluated and released at the scene.
BODEGA BAY – At 4:54 p.m. Bodega Bay ambulance and firefighters dispatched to Doran Park for a medical aid. Paramedic determined there was no merit to the emergency call.
VALLEY FORD – Bodega Bay ambulance at 4:01 p.m. dispatched to Highway One in Valley Ford for a medical aid. Patient refused medical aid.

BODEGA BAY – At 12:05 p.m. Bodega Bay fire and ambulance summoned to Goat Rock for a medical aid. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.

BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay fire and ambulance dispatched to Highway One and Bay Hill Road North for an injury accident. A low-speed head-on crash closed the Highway for a short period. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 10:55 a.m. Bodega Bay, Monte Rio and Bodega fire agencies responded to Highway One at Duncans Landing for a rescue. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Thursday October 4
BODEGA – At 1:49 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded along with Bodega Volunteer firefighters to 17000 block of Highway One for a non-injury accident. Bodega Bay units canceled before arrival.

BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded at 7:26 p.m. for an injury automobile crash on Highway One at Bay Hill Road north. No medical aid required.

Monday September 3
Bodega Bay fire ambulance responded at 12:01 p.m. to 3095 Highway One for a medical aid for a fall victim. Patient refused further medical assistance.
Bodega Bay fire ambulance responded at 11:07 a.m. to Doran Beach Road for a medical aid. Patient refused further medical assistance.
Bodega Bay fire responded at 8:42 a.m. to the Inn at the Tides for a fire alarm. Unit cancelled in three minutes by Inn employees.
Sunday September 2
Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded at 3:39 p.m. to South Salmon Creek Beach for a rescue. Two young boys were digging a cave in the sand when it collapsed on them trapping one. The victim was found after an hour of digging and pronounced dead. See Press Democrat story link on home page.
At 2:13 p.m. Bodega Bay fire responded for a non-injury auto crash on Highway One at Smith Brothers Road.
At 10:45 a.m. a person needing medical aid came to the Bodega Bay fire station. Patient evaluated and released.
At 9:19 a.m. Bodega Bay fire responded to Doran Beach for a medical aid. Patient evaluated and released at scene.
At 6:18 a.m. Bodega Bay fire along with Bodega Volunteers, Valley Ford Volunteers and Freestone Fire to a reported fire on a deck on Owl Court. Firefighters found a fire in a planter had spread to the deck. Fire quickly extinguished. Homeowner and family slept through the whole incident. The fire was reported by a neighbor out walking.
Saturday September 1
At 5:27 p.m. Bodega Bay ambulance along with Valley Ford Volunteer Fire responded to a residence on Highway One for a medical aid. One patient transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
At 1:30 p.m. Bodega Bay fire responded to Salmon Creek Ranger Station for a medical aid. Bodega Bay ambulance had not yet returned to Bodega Bay from an earlier transport. Occidental ambulance transported one to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
At 1:29 p.m. Bodega Bay fire dispatched to Highway One and Eastshore Road for a vehicle accident. Non-injury incident dispatch cancelled to send unit to the medical aid at Salmon Creek Ranger Station (above).
At 12:23 p.m. Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded to Lawson’s Landing for a medical aid. One patient transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital. Unit returned to Bodega Bay at 2:52 p.m.

Thursday August 23
A resident reported a debris fire on Sea Way. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded. Fire quickly extinguished.
At 4:08 p.m. Bodega Bay ambulance dispatched to an injury accident in front of 700 Highway One. A van sideswiped a truck pulling a trailer boat. At 8:44 p.m. Bodega Bay fire extinguished a debris fire on South Salmon Creek Beach.
At 5:58 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to Bay Flat Road for a medical aid. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.

BLOOMFIELD – At 9:30 a.m. Bodega Bay paramedics and Bloomfield Volunteers responded to a call for medical aid at Carroll Road, Bloomfield. One patient transported to Kaiser Hospital, Santa Rosa.
Wednesday August 8
BODEGA BAY – At 2:10 p.m. Bodega Bay fire responded to the Coast Guard Station Bodega Bay for a person having a medical problem. They were on board a vessel inbound to the Coast Guard Station dock. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Tuesday August 7
BODEGA BAY – At 11:58 a.m. a person walked into the Bodega Bay fire station with a medical emergency. They were transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 11:53 p.m. a resident of Carmet reported a possible fire in their kitchen. She reported a strong electrical insulation smell after a breaker tripped. Dispatchers sent Bodega Bay, Bodega, Valley Ford and Monte Rio Fire companies. Bodega Bay Fire Chief Sean Grinnell arrived first on scene and reported there was no fire. He cancelled most incoming units. An electric stovetop had shorted out, causing the breaker to trip. Electrical smell was from overheated stove coils.
BODEGA BAY – At 3:46 p.m. a medical emergency required a response by Bodega Bay fire to Bodega Dunes Campground. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Saturday August 4
BODEGA BAY – An injury vehicle crash at 8:13 p.m. brought a full response by Bodega Bay fire. Bodega Bay ambulance transported one to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 6:12 p.m. a walk-in medical aid at the fire station was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 3:29 p.m. an auto crash on Highway One near the fire station was reported. Bodega Bay fire and ambulance responded. The ambulance transported one to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
DILLON BEACH – Marin County Fire called to request an ambulance for a crash on Dillon Beach Road. Marin County Fire Tomales station responded and cancelled incoming ambulance.

BODEGA BAY – At 8:47 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to the Tides Wharf for a medical aid. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 8:39 p.m. a resident of Heron Drive reported a water heater smoking. Bodega Bay firefighters and Bodega Volunteer Fire Department responded. Water heater overheated. Firefighters released from scene after securing safety of residents. Bodega firefighters diverted to respond to Tides Wharf. Bodega Bay ambulance and fire engine then released and responded to the Tide Wharf call.
Wednesday August 1
PORTUGESE BEACH – At 9:49 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters were dispatched to a possible car fire at Wright’s Beach. Reporting party thought the fire had extended to grasslands adjacent. A smoky illegal bonfire at Portugese Beach was quickly rendered harmless.
BODEGA BAY – The Inn at the Tides fire alarm falsely summoned Bodega Bay firefighters at 6:08 p.m.
BODEGA BAY – At 3:43 p.m. a caller reported a bicyclist had fallen and needed medical assistance. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Sunday July 29
BODEGA BAY – A caller at 4:28 p.m. requested Bodega Bay firefighters to respond for a medical aid at Bodega Bay RV Park. Patient evaluated and released at scene.
GOAT ROCK – Bodega Bay paramedics responded at 3:58 p.m. to a call for medical aid on Goat Rock Road. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded at 12:38 p.m. for a medical aid at a local inn. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
BODEGA – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics along with Bodega Volunteer Fire responded to a non-injury accident on Highway One. A trailer flipped and subsequently blocked busy Sunday afternoon traffic. Bodega Bay fire cancelled and returned to station.
BLOOMFIELD – Bodega Bay paramedics responded at 12:11 a.m. to a call for medical aid on Moro Street in Bloomfield. Patient refused further medical assistance.
Friday July 27
DILLON BEACH ROAD – Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded at 5:48 p.m. to an accident on Dillon Beach Road. Accident was non-injury. All units cancelled.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:46 a.m. a Dillon Beach resident reported having trouble getting a friend to medical aid. The friend had fallen and broken his leg the night before. The resident was unable to move the rather large friend into a private car. Bodega Bay ambulance and Marin County Fire Tomales Station were summoned. The large friend was successfully loaded into the ambulance and taken to Palm Drive Hospital.
Thursday July 26
BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded at 11:47 p.m. to a Bay Hill Road residence for a medical aid. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 1:46 p.m. a person needing medical aid called 911 from the driveway of the fire station. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded and transported the patient to Kaiser Hospital, Santa Rosa.
Wednesday July 25
BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to a report of a car over the cliff on Highway One at Coleman Valley Road. All Bodega Bay units as well as State Parks, CHP and Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputies responded. For a time rescuers did not know how many victims went over the cliff. A lone man gunned his pickup out of a roadside parking area and went over the cliff. The pickup fell about 75 feet and bounced up and turned sideways before landing facing in the direction it had come. The man, a deliberate suicide, was ejected during the landing and declared dead at the scene. Sonoma County Sheriff’s helicopter removed the dead body from the difficult to access beach. DILLON BEACH – Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded at 3 p.m. for a medical aid. One patient transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
Monday July 23
TIMBER COVE – At 5:39 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded for an injury accident to 25000 block of Highway One, Timber Cove due to unavailability of other emergency units. Other agencies became available minutes later and Bodega Bay was cancelled.
TOMALES – Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded to Franklin School Road for an injury accident. Responding to the incident were Highway Patrol and Marin County Sheriff's Office. Driver transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital. Vehicle towed.

BODEGA BAY – At 11:38 a.m. The Inn at the Tides fire alarm system summoned Bodega Bay firefighters. It was a false alarm and units were cancelled enroute.

BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay ambulance and firefighters responded at 10:06 p.m. for a medical emergency on Swan Drive. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 8:58 a.m. Bodega Bay ambulance and firefighters responded to a call of a pedestrian trapped by a vehicle. Responding ambulance crew called dispatch to request a helicopter respond to the scene at 2001 Highway One. Pedestrian was struck by a vehicle but was not trapped when Fire Chief arrived on scene. Helicopter cancelled. Ambulance transported one victim to Kaiser Hospital, Santa Rosa.
BODEGA BAY – AT 12:51 a.m. Bodega Bay ambulance responded to Porto Bodega for a medical emergency. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
Tuesday July 10

BODEGA BAY – A boat fire on “C” dock at Spud Point brought Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics. A small fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived. The boat skipper was burned but refused further medical aid.

BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to a reported vegetation fire at 8:49 p.m. Bodega, Valley Ford and Freestone Fire agencies also responded. Reporting parties placed the fire variously between South Harbour Way and the Bodega tee or on South Harbour Way near the Golf Course. Fire was located 300 yards north of the entrance to the old rock quarry about 100 feet up the hillside from Highway One. When firefighters arrived the fire was only a spot a dozen feet square. After the fire was put out, a bottle rocket was found in the burned area.

BODEGA BAY – Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to assist the Highway Patrol with traffic control after a minor accident on Highway One near Bay Hill Road. A recreational vehicle being towed lost the connection to the tow pickup truck and went nose down on the highway. A tow truck was called to clear the highway while firefighters provided one-way traffic control. Firefighters were at the scene for about an hour.

BODEGA BAY – At 1:16 p.m. Deputy was unable to locate a suspicious character at Pelican Plaza. A business owner reported a man with a wild appearance was hanging about. The business owner reported tha wlid man was probably in need of mental health services. Deputy dispatched from Guerneville was unable to located the character. Several other reports were made to the resident Deputy concerning the same individual. He was reported variously as scary, threatening, confused, expounding extreme fantastical schemes and muttering to himself. He was also reported to helping himself to food and lodging, without the ability to pay.

BODEGA – At 5:52 p.m. Deputy arrested a man on Bodega Highway for possession of stolen property, false impersonation of another and driving on a suspended license. A man tried to sell a stolen surfboard to the local surf shop. Deputy responding from Guerneville stopped his car on Bodega Highway. The owner of the surfboard was happy to have his board back and did not pursue thievery charges. But when stopped the man presented false identification. His suspended driver’s license was discovered when his true identity was determined.

BODEGA BAY – A young man was arrested and cited for causing a disturbance at Doran Beach Jetty Campground at 7:12 a.m. An 18-year-old man was warned to stay away from a high school group camping at Doran Beach. He was found in a tent, not his own, and charged with trespassing and annoying children. Earlier he had inappropriately touched a teen girl. When confronted by the school chaperone he challenged the older man to fight. Charges for sexual battery and the fight challenge were submitted to the District Attorney for possible action.

BODEGA BAY – At 6:09 p.m. a woman’s actions prompted a call to 911. Deputy was dispatched to check on her welfare. She was disturbed and unable to care for herself. She was taken to Oakcrest mental health facility.

BODEGA BAY – At 6:07 p.m. a caller reported someone throwing rocks at birds and pinnipeds on the water at Highway One near the Tides wharf. When Deputy arrived no one was located.

MONTE RIO – At 7:47 a.m. a resident reported a trespasser on Highway 116 North. A man was arrested for domestic violence, damage to property, annoying phone calls and battery on a spouse.

BODEGA BAY – At 8:28 a.m. a search warrant was executed on a boat at Spud Point Marina. This was the follow up to an earlier incident (May 3, below) involving a felon and possession of a weapon.

BODEGA BAY – At 11:17 a.m. a missing person report was filed for a man missing from his work and his Sea Way residence. A search warrant was executed at his residence earlier. Though Sheriff’s investigators are not revealing any details, this incident may stem from a domestic dispute.
BODEGA BAY – Coast Guard Cutter Sockeye, while on patrol at sea, stopped and boarded a fishing boat. They discovered an altered shotgun. The gun was in the possession of a prohibited class of persons, possibly illegally. They turned the information over to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. They returned the gun to the fish boat skipper.
BODEGA BAY – A missing person from the Central Valley was located by their vehicle tracking service at a motel in Bodega Bay at 11:30 p.m. She was OK, just getting away from it all, when it came to find her.

BODEGA BAY – At 9:07 a.m. two men had a shouting contest at Spud Point. 911 was called. When the Deputy arrived, the men had settled their differences and were friends again.

BODEGA BAY – At 5:39 p.m. a medical emergency was reported on Sea Way. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – Deputy at 3:27 p.m. arrested a drunk at Gull Campground. Man refused to turn down the music and caused a disturbance – off to the pokey.

BODEGA BAY – A domestic dispute resulted in an arrest at 3:58 p.m. The Porto Bodega man was arrested for battery on a domestic partner resulting in injury.
WEST MARIN COUNTY – At 10:21 a.m. an accident was reported on Whittaker Bluff Road and Highway One. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded. Patient refused further medical assistance.
BODEGA BAY – At 10:11 a.m. Deputies served a search warrant at an address on Sea Way. Circumstances till under investigation.
BODEGA BAY – At 4:11 a.m. Bodega Bay ambulance transported one patient from their residence on Hummingbird Way to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 12:09 a.m. Deputy completed paperwork for a reported assault at an address on Highway One. Mutual combatants, alcohol related did not wish to file a complaint.

BODEGA BAY – At 11:43 p.m. Bodega Bay fire and ambulance responded to Porto Bodega for a medical aid. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – At 8:27 p.m. a report of a naked crazy guy made at Doran Park. The man removed all his clothes exposing far too much skin. That brought the County Park Ranger’s attention. He got a free ride to Sonoma County jail.
BODEGA BAY – At 7:38 p.m. Deputy arrested a man for public display of drunkenness on Bodega Ave. Man far too intoxicated and presented a danger to himself and others. He also had a no cite warrant out for his arrest.

VALLEY FORD – A motorist reported an accident on Valley Ford Road at 7:20 p.m. Bodega Bay paramedics along with Valley Ford Fire responded. REACH-One helicopter transported one trauma patient to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

BODEGA BAY – At 1:42 p.m. a guest at a Highway One lodge was needed emergency medical help. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded and evaluated and released patient at scene
BODEGA BAY – Deputy made an arrest at Fish Fest at 12:51 p.m. for vandalism. The 27-year old woman was directing traffic on her own accord. When asked to cease she resisted. She then stomped on the Deputy’s glasses. She was arrested.
BODEGA – At 10:24 a.m. Deputy contacted a couple having a domestic dispute on Highway One.

TIMBER COVE – Deputy made contact with a sport fisherman at 9:06 a.m. on Highway One about a possible fish and game violation.
BODEGA BAY – A Dillon Beach resident requested emergency medical aid. Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded to Oceana Drive. One patient transported to Kaiser Hospital, Santa Rosa.
BODEGA BAY – At 8:21 p.m. a neighbor reported a fight on Sandpiper Court. Deputy interviewed the alleged combatants who denied fighting.
BODEGA BAY – A motorist at 4:57 a.m. needed medical aid on Highway One near Carmet. The driver ran off the road and flipped the car. Patient evaluated and released at scene.

BODEGA BAY – A guest at a local motel on Highway One needed at 10:13 a.m. medical aid. Patient evaluated and released at scene.
TIMBER COVE – Deputy arrested a sport fisherman on the Boat Ramp at 8:56 a.m. Sporter was in possession of unlawfully taken abalone and did not have an abalone tag.

BODEGA BAY – A Salmon Creek village resident at 4:08 a.m. reported a prowler. Deputy investigated but prowler couldn’t be found.

BODEGA BAY – A resident of Osprey Drive reported at 12:04 p.m. a case of identity theft. An unknown person used a stolen social security number to obtain good and services.

SEA RANCH – Deputy arrested two on White Tail at 6:39 p.m. in connection with reported burglaries in the area.

JENNER – Sheriff’s dispatch at 4:48 p.m. broadcast a “BOLO” or be on the look out . A citizen reported a burglary from an automobile. The good citizen gave a description of the vehicle but not the plates.
VALLEY FORD – A motorist at 11:29 a.m. reported an injury accident on Highway One. Bodega Bay paramedics responded along with Valley Ford Fire. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

BODEGA BAY – At 11:09 p.m. Bodega Harbour Security reported someone seen inside the Bodega Harbour Club House after hours. Deputy investigated and filed a report. A short time later Security reported that a light went on and off inside the club house again. Deputy responded and found no signs of a forced entry, no signs of anything missing but possible something out of place. Report filed.

Monday April 23
Rangers stopped a vehicle at the Bodega Dunes campground entrance for erratic driving. The driver was cited for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The passenger was cited out on a $20,000 warrant for having a weapon in the park.
Sunday April 22:
Ranger cited a dog owner at North Salmon for having a dog on the beach. Later that night, citations were issued at North Salmon for minor in possession of alcohol and having a fire on the beach.
Friday April 20:
An illegal camper at North Salmon received a citation for possessing a weapon in the park. His 12-gauge shotgun was seized.
Monday April 16:
Rangers and lifeguards responded to the Bodega Dunes campground for a medical aid. Sheriff’s helicopter Henry One, which happened to be overhead at the time, landed to assist. The patient was transported to Palm Drive by Medic 811.

Friday March 23
Rangers issued two citations for minor in possession of alcohol at Schoolhouse Beach. A man was stopped by rangers for crossing the double yellow lines and received a citation for driving on a suspended license and open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Rangers took reports of vandalism at Goat Rock and North Salmon.
Saturday March 24:
Underage drinkers were cited at Goat Rock. One of their friends was cited for an outstanding warrant. Night shift rangers were kept busy evicting juveniles from North Salmon and Duncans Cove.
Sunday March 25:
Rangers received a report of a vandalized food locker in the Bodega Dunes campground. A suspect was identified and admitted to burning the wooden food locker in the campsite’s fire ring the previous night. The case has been referred to the Sonoma County D.A.’s office.
Tuesday April 3:
Rangers from Sonoma Coast and Armstrong Redwoods responded to a report of an overdue person at the Bullfrog Pond campground at 11:30 p.m. The man was last seen walking near his campsite at 6 p.m. The Sonoma Sheriff Dept. Search and Rescue Team was called in to help locate the 41-year-old Wisconsin resident. Shortly after dawn, the man found his way back to his campsite after being lost in the woods all night.
Wednesday Aoril 4:
A 17-year-old boy from Yuba City fell from a 200 foot cliff at Goat Rock. Rangers, Lifeguards, Sonoma Sheriff deputies, Monte Rio Fire, CHP and REACH worked together to extricate the victim from the side of the cliff. He survived with only minor injuries. Photos in the Gallery
Friday April 6:
Rangers assisted Bodega Bay Fire with a vehicle accident on Bay Hill Rd. The night shift was kept busy with illegal campers and a citation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana at South Salmon.
Saturday April 7:
A tree limb came down in the Dunes campground causing minor damage to a trailer parked in the campsite. Several campers were evicted from Pomo campground late at night for noise and dog violations.
Tuesday April 10:
Rangers took reports for two burglaries from automobiles at Grill Way.
Saturday April 14:
Rangers worked with a local Boy Scout troop on a volunteer service project in the Dunes campground. A group received a warning for an unsafe fire at Fishhead Beach. Rangers contacted underage drinkers at Schoolhouse Beach and issued a citation for alcohol possession and arrested a 20-year-old Forestville man for violating terms of probation.
Sunday April 15:
Rangers and Lifeguards responded to a vehicle accident on Hwy One near Gleason Beach. There were no injuries but one of the drivers was irate and refused to exchange information with the other party. CHP responded and took the report. Parents reported their 14-year-old son missing at Portuguese Beach. He was located by the parents shortly after lifeguards started a hasty search. An auto burglary was reported at Duncans Landing.

BLOOMFIELD – A resident at 9:47 a.m. of Sutton St. requested emergency medical aid. Bodega Bay paramedics along with Bloomfield Fire Volunteers responded. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Wednesday April 11
TOMALES – A nighttime vehicle crash on Shoreline Highway at Fallon Road brought emergency response. Marin County Tomales Station Fire Volunteers, Bodega Bay Ambulance and Sonoma County Sheriff’s helicopter Henry-One combined to airlift a patient to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA – A resident of Highway One at 6:30 p.m. needed emergency medical aid. Bodega Volunteer Fire and Bodega Bay ambulance responded and the ambulance transported one patient to Kaiser, Santa Rosa.
Monday April 9
BODEGA BAY – State Park Rangers at 8:45 p.m. requested Sheriff’s Deputy backup for a traffic stop on Eastshore Road at Highway One.
DILLON BEACH – A reported vehicle crash on Dillon Beach Road at 9:04 p.m. had Tomales Volunteers and Bodega Bay ambulance responded but the ambulance was cancelled by Firefighters on scene due to lack of injuries.
BODEGA BAY – At 9:31 a.m. Bodega Bay fire responded to another false alarm at the Inn at the Tides. Firefighers reported there are extensive repairs ongoing to the fire alarm system at the Inn.
BODEGA BAY – At 8 p.m. a neighbor reported seeing flames and people on the Harbor View Subdivision. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded. They were unable to locate any fire.
BODEGA BAY – Campers at Doran Beach Campground at 3:40 a.m. reported a disturbance by a loud group of young folks with a flat tire. Deputy responded and assisted one of the group with a lift to a relative’s. Deputy also filled their spare tire with air, provided a lug wrench and sent them on their way.

OCCIDENTAL – A resident at 8:51 p.m. reported a domestic-related-incident.
MONTE RIO – A resident at 6:35 a.m. reported a domestic-related-incident.
BODEGA BAY – The innkeeper the Tides reported at 2:51 a.m. a group of young persons being loud in the parking lot of the gas station. Deputy made contact with a group who did not have enough gas to return to Santa Rosa. They had called AAA for an emergency gas can. While waiting their behavior became loud.
Saturday April 7
BODEGA – At 8:15 p.m. a legal control burn on Salmon Creek Road was reported as an illegal uncontrolled burn. All units cancelled.
BODEGA – A resident at 7:20 p.m. reported a family member didn’t return home after work. Deputy made contact and put out a “Be on the lookout” notice. Foul play wasn’t suspected and the family member remains missing.
TIMBER COVE – A resident at 2:52 p.m. reported a domestic incident with injuries.
BODEGA BAY – At 8:27 a.m. an Osprey Road resident reported a medical emergency. One patient transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

BODEGA BAY – A visitor to Doran Park at 12:35 p.m. reported a purse taken out of her car. Deputy responded but the woman had left the area.
TIMBER COVE – At 10:29 a.m. Bodega Bay ambulance was dispatched to Highway One in Timber Cove. Russian River and Gualala ambulance’s were both busy. Before Bodega Bay arrived on scene they were cancelled by Gualala ambulance.

BODEGA – A caller reported a possible vegetation fire at 12:02 p.m. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded to the 20000 block of Highway One. A control burn underway.
BODEGA BAY – A caller at 11:16 a.m. requested emergency medical aid at Doran Regional Park. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded and were cancelled while enroute.

BODEGA BAY – US Coast Guard requested emergency medical response to their Bodega Bay Station at 6:50 p.m. One patient transported to Palm Drive Hospital.
GOAT ROCK – A caller reported at 3:23 p.m. a man had fallen down a cliff at Goat Rock Beach. He was above the south parking lot. See story in Breaking News. The injured man was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
GOAT ROCK – At 3:33 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Goat Rock for a man over the cliff and hanging onto a ledge.
BODEGA – A caller reported at 1:41 p.m. a possible vegetation fire near the cemetery on Bodega Highway. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics responded and found a controlled burn still under control.

TOMALES – A caller reported at 3:24 p.m. a head-on crash on Shoreline Highway at Dillon Beach Road. Bodega Bay Paramedics along with Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded. REACH-One transported one patient to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
BODEGA BAY – A caller at 1:27 p.m. requested emergency medical aid for a rescue near Westside Boat Ramp. A wind-surfer had run into the mud. He self-extricated before emergency crews arrived.

BODEGA BAY – A rancher at 2:02 p.m. reported finding a car in Cheney Creek opposite the rock quarry. Highway Patrol and Bodega Bay Fire responded. The vehicle had been stolen on March 15 from Santa Rosa. There was no one in the vehicle. CHP handled the tow and the stolen vehicle report.

CARMET – A motorist at 8:58 a.m. reported a car off the roadway and down a cliff near Carmet Beach. Bodega Bay Fire and State Parks Rangers found the car empty and started a search for the victim. She was several hundred feet north of the wreck. Paramedics and firefighters rendered aid and prepared her for transport to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital by helicopter.

BODEGA BAY – A marina resident at 11:13 p.m. called 911 for a man in the water. See story on Main Page. A marina resident had fallen into the water and did not appear to be breathing. Neighbors in Mason’s Marina lifted the heavy man out of the water. Bodega Bay firefighters and paramedics and Coast Guard Station Bodega Bay responded. Coasties started CPR. Paramedic used heart monitors and shocks totry to restart the man’s heart while CPR continued. The victim was moved to the Bodega Bay ambulance and a helicopter dispatched. BODEGA BAY – A resident at 2:54 p.m. reported a suspicious or incompetent person along Bay Flat Road. Sheriff’s Helicopter Henry-One and Resident Deputy checked on a woman lecturing the air and otherwise out of place. The helicopter was in the area and checked from overhead while taking pictures. Deputy investigated and determined she was not under the influence and released her.

BODEGA BAY – Deputy made contact with skippers involved in a boating accident on Westshore Road at 10:15 a.m., minor damage when one boat ran into another.
ANNAPOLIS – At 4 a.m. Sonoma County Narcotic Task Force Agents served a search warrant on Brushy Ridge Loop after developing information about a sophisticated indoor growing operation. The owner of the home and ranch, Eric Elster, 54, Annapolis, was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of explosives. His bail was set at $20,000. He later posted bail and is not in custody.
Deputies found a large-scale indoor marijuana grow site in heavy brush near Elster’s home.
Deputies said Elster had camouflaged two trailers and three other buildings with military netting and paint. The buildings were 20-foot by 20-foot and had growing plants and recently harvested plants. Elster had installed an 80 kwh diesel generator to power the grow lights.
Elster told Deputies he had several sticks of 40-year old dynamite in another building. The Sheriff’s Bomb Squad (Explosive Ordnance Detail – EOD) removed the “sweating” dynamite and burned it. The “sweating” is a sign the material is very unstable.
Deputies found 440 marijuana plants and $7000 in cash and seven pounds of harvested marijuana. Sheriff’s Investigators estimated the street value of the plants at $330,000. The seven pounds were valued at $21,000.
Detective Sergeant Chris Betoli said Elster’s operation was the subject of a two-month investigation.
