BOLINAS – 7:05 p.m. Trespasser arrested and booked for repeat offenses over the past week. Man refused to leave when asked the Wharf Road address.
Petaluma Pt Reyes Road – Noon, A woman reported a purse taken last week from an accident scene. Report filed.
Friday January 11
NICASIO – 1:18 a.m. A driver arrested for driving while intoxicated (VC 23152) after a traffic stop. Driver’s car left at the scene.
TOMALES – 11:05 p.m. A high school basketball player’s mom reported a possible assault. Her daughter was bitten by an opposing team’s player during a scramble for possession of the ball. An appeal of the incident to the game referees was ignored. Petaluma Valley Hospital confirmed the bite mark on the upper arm was human, but did not break the skin. Player’s mom was thristing for justice. The opposing team was hungry for a rematch. Deputy had no appetite for the investigation.
Thursday January 10
SAN GERONIMO – 11:09 p.m. A resident reported but deputy unable to locate a loud gunshot or explosion.
WOODACRE – 11:36 p.m. A resident reported a very loud explosion that could have been a transformer. Deputy was unable to locate.
WOODACRE – 10:45 p.m. A resident reported a gunshot in the past minute. All quiet on arrival of deputy.
POINT REYES STATION – 10:15 p.m. A resident called deputies to report some people are on his property looking into his windows. The resident said they were on the opposite side of the pond about 50 yards away. Deputy determined the resident saw reflections in the pond from the neighbor’s house.
BOLINAS – 9:20 p.m. People loitering outside Smiley’s engaged in a shouting match. All the combatants had been drinking inside Smiley’s. Deputy warned them of loitering and felonious arguing-while-drunk-in-front-of-bars ordinances.
BOLINAS – 7:31 p.m. A neighbor reported a loud argument by the roommates living next door. Deputy found both roomies had been drinking and were arguing over absolutely nothing. They agreed to retire for the night.
OLEMA – 4:52 p.m. A woman missing while mushroom hunting was reunited with her anxious husband.
WOODACRE – 3:47 p.m. A resident reported a group of juveniles soliciting magazine subscriptions. Deputy contacted their supervisor, advised him of county ordinances and arranged for transportation out of the area.
Wednesday January 9
Petaluma-Pt Reyes Road – 10:11 p.m. A motorist arrested and booked for VC 23152, drunk while driving.
Tuesday January 8
BOLINAS – 9:49 p.m. A verbal dispute along Wharf Road was over when the deputy arrived. Bystanders said they went thataway.
Monday January 7
INVERNESS – 7:37 p.m. A resident complained of his neighbor chopping kindling at night. Deputy advised the chopper to chop during the day.
January 6
MARSHALL – 8:41 pm: Man pulled from water earlier (see below) had all his clothes removed before transportation to Marin General Hospital, water-soaked clothes taken to Sheriff’s substation.
MARSHALL – 8:40 pm: Resident reported someone outside with a flashlight. Area checked, deputy saw nothing suspicious found.
MARSHALL – 6:14 pm: A man just pulled from the water. A man in a skiff tumbled into the water while talking with people on another boat. They were unable to lift him out of the water as he cling to the side of the skiff. Crew from a fish boat about to leave the harbor came to help. They succeeded in lifting him to their deck. Marin Fire transported a very cold man to Marin General Hospital.
POINT REYES STATION – 2:12 pm: A resident called the substation because he read in the Other Newspaper that $80 in cash had been found. He thought it was his daughter’s who lost it on December 26. Deputy determined the cash that was found was found elsewhere and could not have been his daughter’s.
POINT REYES STATION – 10:25 am: Dance Palace reported artwork taken from lobby walls over the weekend. Report filed for eight Norwegian regional art pieces valued at $1325.
January 5
POINT REYES STATION – 11:20 pm: Camper reported the windshield broken on his camper RV. Report filed.
MARSHALL – 11 pm: Resident reported the passenger window on his car smashed. Reporting party says this also happened a few weeks ago, ongoing problem. Report filed.
INVERNESS – 12:34 am: A resident reported an unattended and unlocked car had rolled out of the Prisilla’s parking lot. Unattended car, with fogged windows was partially across Sir Francis Drake. Deputy pushed it back into the lot and prevented the errant car from trying the same stunt again.
January 4
INVERNESS PARK – 8:56 am: A tree fell through the roof of a home causing structural damage. Hole in roof produced a stream of water into home. No one injuried. Fire Dept and tree service on scene. Numerous branches down after high winds.
LAGUNITAS – 9:14 am: Sir Francis Drake closed by Highway Patrol after fallen tree blocks the road.
JANUAR 3
INVERNESS – 11:43 pm: Resident reported the lights in her garage were turning off and on without her bidding. Deputy checked for intruders, but all was OK except the defective lights in garage.
WOODACRE – 4:11 pm: Tree reported down onto wires. Sparking of transformer provided a light show. Deputy assisted Marin Fire with road closure.
INVERNESS PARK – 3:07 pm: Wires down without interaction from trees.
POINT REYES STATION – 10:56 am: Chimney fire reported, Marin Fire responded.
BOLINAS – 10:15 am: A resident reported a that a neighbor taken away by deputies for mental health issues last night had firearms. Resident sought advice. Deputy constrained by privacy issues, but assured resident Sheriff’s office on the job.
January 2
NICASIO – Novato at Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road at 1:31 am: Two men came into fire station to summon a tow truck for their vehicle. They had run off the road into the ditch. No tow available, so men returned to the car on foot. Later, deputy went to check on the car. Highway patrol also arrived to check on the car in the ditch. Highway Patrol arrested the driver for violation of 23152V.C., drunken driving.

BOLINAS – 10:26 pm: Bolinas fire assisted by deputy with a woman exhibiting signs of food poisoning. Marin Fire transported her to Marin General Hospital.
INVERNESS – 8:48 pm: A resident complained of construction noise. Deputy found a neighbor chopping kindling. The neighbor warned of noise ordinance. (no construction noise after 7 pm)
STINSON BEACH – 3:20 am: A resident reported that when power restored the community tsunami alarm was sounding. Resident was sure there was no tsunami coming. Deputy found peace and quiet on arrival.
POINT REYES STATION – 3:19 pm: Vandalism reported by resident. Deputy reviewed the extensive record of prior vandalism incidents at that residence.
STINSON BEACH – 12:33 am: Shoreline Highway closed. Highway Patrol and Stinson Beach fire provided traffic control.
OLEMA – 12:07 am: A resident reported the cemetery gate was wide open. Deputy investigated and found all cemetery residents quiet and resting peacefully. Gate closed.

STINSON BEACH – 11:38 pm: Wires reported down along Shoreline Highway. Deputy, Stinson Beach Fire and Highway Patrol waited forPGE.
INVERNESS – 7:09 pm: Fireworks reported near Chicken Ranch beach. Deputy found no persons or vehicles and all was quiet.
FOREST KNOLLS – 4:20 pm: A resident reported possible dope smoking and drinking in the park. Deputy found the possible suspects but found no dope, only cigarettes. Deputy advised the smokers of ordinances about open containers of alcohol in the park.
FOREST KNOLLS – 8:41 am: A 9-1-1 hangup turned out to be a resident trying to call North Carolina, area code 919 and misdialing.
FOREST KNOLLS – 12/23 10:40 pm Barking dog complaint QOA.
STB 7:56 pm Hot tub fire extinguished by STB Fire.
NICASIO 11:25 am A resident reported gunshots. Deputy investigated and spoke with a neighbor who was target shooting safely.
INVERNESS PARK 8:21 am A resident reported hearing a man’s voice over a loudspeaker 20 minutes ago. QOA.
TOMALES 12/22 4:04 pm A motorist reported cattle on the Chileno Valley Road. As deputy arrived the rancher showed up with his cattle dog.
WOODACRE – 5:38 am Woodacre firestation personnel reported an unlocked rig parked in a storage was burglarized. Several items of value taken. Report filed.
BOLINAS – 12/20 8:07 pm Deputies made an arrest for methampetamine possession.
INVERNESS – 2:13 pm A resident reported a man on the other side of the fence on her property with his pants pulled down. She said the man called her by name and he was still there. Deputy contacted the gardener who explained he was defecating in the bushes when the neighbor approached. He tried to warn her away, but his effort only confused the situation. Deputy determined there was no criminal violation and reassured the neighbor there weren’t any perverts present.
LAGUNITAS – 5:32 am A resident reported a transient sleeping in a car. Deputy awoke the sleeping man and told him to move along. He was warned that if seen here again he would be cited for violation of habitation of vehicles code.
PRS – 12/19 6:17 pm A motorist reported a light brown cow on Platform Bridge Road creating a traffic hazard.
PRS – 4:20 pm A motorist reported a calf alongside Shoreline HWY. Cow placed back in appropriate pasture by rancher.
MARSHALL – 11:55 am A business reported an office door smashed and a possible burglary. Deputy determined the smashing was caused by an employee. No criminal violation.
Petaluma-Marshall Road – A caller reported three black cows loose on the road. Deputy was unable to locate.
Sunday September 30
POINT REYES STATION – At 5:26 p.m. a child custody exchange took place without incident
STINSON BEACH – A resident complained of the noise from tree cutters at 11:24 a.m. The tree cutters agreed to stop prior to arrival of deputy.
BOLINAS – At 12:56 a.m. a resident complained of a loud party with a live band. Deputy shut it down.
Saturday September 29
POINT REYES STATION – At 8:16 p.m. a display of drunkenness by customer at local establishment reported. Description given, but deputy was unable to locate.
BOLINAS – At 6:55 p.m. a neighbor complained of a noisy party nearby. All was quiet on arrival of deputy. A charity fundraiser had ended shortly before arrival of deputy.
TOMALES –A driver stopped at 2:19 p.m. at the Tomales Bakery to report a hit and run driver had injured a bicyclist between on Highway One between Marshall and Tomales. The driver of a horse trailer clipped the biker and continued without stopping. Driver described as a blonde woman with sunglasses. Highway Patrol notified.
POINT REYES STATION – A deputy at 1:43 p.m. received a call requesting advice. A resident reported a child called and left a message on the answering machine. He asked that money be delivered to a meeting place in San Francisco or the resident would be killed. Deputy reported the caller sounded as if he had dialed a random number and left the threat. The caller wanted $1 million left at an address in San Francisco but not in the mailbox, “just leave the money outside.”
MUIR BEACH – A humane officer at 10:30 a.m. checked on the welfare of a dog in reported to be in poor condition. The officer reported no answer at the residence. Officer also noted lots of flies and the apartment appeared as if no one had been there in a while.
Friday September 28
SAN GERONIMO – At 10:30 p.m. a resident reported that a junior high school dance had ended but the crowd of youths had not dispersed. The resident reported one youth, obviously from out of town, was dressed as a gorilla. Deputy investigated and found that a group of unknown youths appeared at the dance at the community center all dressed in gorilla suits. The left when they discovered the lion manure distributed around the building. No further action required.
Thursday September 27
BOLINAS – At 5:25 p.m. advice was rendered to a resident concerned about his neighbor’s unsecured property. Neighbor taken to a hospital earlier and the residence is unlocked. Advice given.
POINT REYES STATION – At 4:23 p.m. a child exchanged for parental visitation without incident.
WOODACRE – At 1:23 p.m. car found at bottom of ravine off Sir Francis Drake and Railroad Ave. A deceased woman found by county firefighters during unrelated activities. Coroner’s investigators determined the woman had crashed sometime earlier that day. She was pinned in the wreckage and subsequently died of her injuries. She is survived by five small children.
Wednesday September 26
BOLINAS – At 11:57 p.m. a moon watching man at Brighton Beach reported threats from two women who approached him with a dog. Deputy investigated and found a group of 10 women at the beach who felt “creeped out” by the man who was staring at them. They requested he leave the area. The man was unavailable for comment on the women’s story. No further action required.
NICASIO – At 10:48 p.m. a man was arrested for violation of a temporary restraining order in a domestic violence case.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported at 10:39 p.m. enduring loud music over the past year coming from a neighbor’s residence. Deputy advised the resident about pursuing this problem as a civil matter. Deputy advised the neighbor to keep the windows and door shut when playing music.
FOREST KNOLLS – A patron at 9:47 p.m. reported another patron, probably drunk, yelling at the first patron in a bar. Second patron arrested for public drunkenness.
STINSON BEACH – A caller at 7:12 p.m. reported a probably intoxicated woman driving her grey sedan toward Calle Del Arroyo. Deputy checked area for possible DUI driver, none found.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 6:02 p.m. little stick characters drawn on his car possibly with a rock. Deputy investigated and advised all the neighbors to cease all contact.
POINT REYES STATION – A driver, possibly under the influence of strong substances, reported at 8:46 a.m. on Platform Bridge Road. Highway notified.
Tuesday September 25
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:17 p.m. a citizen reported she loaned her van to a friend two weeks ago and has just learned he is in jail. She sought advice from deputy. Deputy advised her to go to the county jail and pick up her keys.
STINSON BEACH – A man arrested at 9:16 a.m. for violation of state parole conditions.
POINT REYES STATION – At 8:44 a.m. Marin Fire transported to Marin General Hospital a man who had fallen 10 feet off a haystack. No law enforcement needed.
LAGUNITAS –A resident at 8:45 a.m. reported a vehicle parking in the area overnight for the past several nights. She reported the vehicle leaves early in the morning. Deputy will check overnight to nab the transient vehicle inhabitant.
WOODACRE – At 1:46 a.m. a resident requested advice about a civil problem involving a grand piano. Deputy gave advice.
STINSON BEACH – At 12:23 a.m. a neighbor reported a barking dog at the home of a neighbor who was taken to the hospital earlier. Deputy let the dog into the residence and called someone who usually cares for the dog when the resident is away.
Monday September 24
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 9:45 p.m. that a month ago a kayak valued at $350 taken from his front porch. Report filed.
SAN GERONIMO – A school official reported at 9:37 a.m. the theft of eight basketballs out of a plywood shed at the rear of the school over the weekend. Extra patrol requested for the weekend hours.
Sunday September 23
INVERNESS– At 6:15 p.m. a resident reported chain saws working loudly nearby. The resident had requested his neighbor to stop. Neighbor refused to cooperate. Advice given.
WOODACRE– A resident at 6:08 p.m. reported a saddle and tack worth $2000 taken from a locked tack room. Report taken.
BOLINAS – At 6:34 p.m., a report of a possibly drunk subject on Brighton Way prompted dispatch of Bolinas Fire and deputies.
DILLON BEACH – A motorist reported at 7:50 a.m. a vehicle rollover on Dillon beach road. Highway Patrol, Tomales Fire and Bodega Bay Ambulance dispatched, driver taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
MARSHALL – At 2:30 a.m., a resident reported a car parked on the wrong side of the road and still in the roadway with the engine running. A man passed out was in the drivers seat. Deputy investigated a possible drunk driver. The driver was arrested and booked into Marin County jail for drunken driving.
Saturday September 22
POINT REYES STATION – A motorist reported at 9:04 p.m. two black calves in the road at Shoreline and Sir Francis Drake. Roadway cleared and fence repaired, deputy reported.
OLEMA – At 8:40 p.m. a barking dog prompted a resident to call 911. The dog’s owner was notified of the complaint. A notice of barking dog ordinance left at dog’s door.
TOMALES – A resident reported at 7:12 p.m. a vehicle entering his driveway and acting strangely, twice since Friday. A description of vehicle and occupants given. Deputy checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary. Deputy will provide extra patrol though the night.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported at 5:30 p.m. a vacant house appeared to have squatters. Deputy investigated and found what he believed to be a house under construction. Deputy secured the front door and left a response card.
STINSON BEACH – At 10:39 p.m. a resident complained of a neighbor’s sloppy parking habits, doors left open, car projecting into roadway. He was also upset that a boulder parked on neighbor’s property was too close to the roadway. Deputy drove by and saw no parking violations. Report filed.
Friday September 21
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:41 p.m. Highway Patrol requested deputies check three roadside call boxes. Highway Patrol had received three 911 calls from the boxes with no one on the line. Deputy found the call boxes clear.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported two men probably drunk in the park at 2:52 p.m. Deputy investigated and found two calm men having a conversation, neither met the criteria for public drunkenness.
LAGUNITAS – At 12:21 p.m. a resident reported some homeless people camping nearby. Deputy checked and found camp clear of homeless and non-homeless people and no camping materials.
STINSON BEACH – At 3:47 a.m. a resident reported a prowler. Deputy found a man experiencing extreme drug withdrawal symptoms. Marin County Fire ambulance transported the man to Marin General Hospital.
Thursday September 20
LAGUNITAS – At 9:59 p.m. a resident reported his peace disturbed by a man honking his car horn and yelling obscene words. Man arrested for misdemeanor drunken idiocy.
BOLINAS – A vehicle owner reported at 7:14 p.m. the rear quarter window shattered on his van, without theft of contents. Report filed.
NICASIO VALLEY ROAD – At 4:41 p.m. an injury vehicle crash reported. Highway Patrol handled paperwork. Nicasio Fire responded, driver taken to Marin General Hospital.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported a burglary at 7:57 a.m. on Resaca Ave. Illegal entry occurred within the last few days. Unknown burglar entered a studio and took computers and sound equipment. Homeowner had no clues about identity of thief. Report filed.
SAN GERONIMO – Overnight a tool shed entered, a resident reported, at 7:17 a.m. Tools worth over $700 taken.
Wednesday September 19
BOLINAS – At 11:21 p.m. a landlord reported some things missing and at the same time an evicted tenant claimed the same property. Deputy discovered all parties had been drinking and arguing over a past eviction. Property returned to landlord and all parties agreed to have a civil dispute. Report filed but no further action required.
LAGUNITAS – At 4:43 p.m. a parent reported her five-year-old daughter stung by yellow jackets over 50 times. Deputy monitored the child while waiting for fire department emergency medical aid. Another child next door also stung.
POINT REYES STATION – At 1 p.m., a subject reported to be suspicious turned out to be waiting for the bus and Godot.
POINT REYES STATION – At 11:50 a.m. an elderly woman was found collapsed on her kitchen floor. Marin County Fire and ambulance responded and transported her to Kaiser Terra Linda.
LAGUNITAS – Mutual combat resulted in a citizen’s arrest. At 9:32 a.m. one combatant released after citation.
Tuesday September 18
LAGUNITAS – A resident reported at 3:21 p.m. a disheveled man asking for a ride to Fairfax. She found him suspicious when he asked about the hiking trails in the area. Deputy contacted the resident to inform her deputies were aware of a man camping illegally on private property who will be relocated by Sheriff’s deputies shortly.
WOODACRE – At 2:08 p.m. deputies dispatched to a fatal accident of a tree trimmer. A 22-year-old man gruesomely electrocuted while working 50 feet up in a tree on Slyvan Way. His work mates and would-be rescuers had to wait for PG&E crews to shut down the power so they could retrieve his body. The man was working up in the tree with high voltage power lines quite close to the limbs he was cutting. He either touched the power lines or the power lines moved in the tree and contacted him. He leaves a small child and family locally as well as in Mexico.
POINT REYES STATION – At 7:29 a.m. a man arrested by deputies for outstanding warrants for vehicle code violations.
Monday September 17
STINSON BEACH – A verbal disturbance reported at 10:06 p.m. when a woman retrieved her belongings after she and her boyfriend split up.
INVERNESS – At 10:04 a.m. a passenger and a bus driver engaged in loud verbal combat. Deputy contacted both. Passenger was cooperative but driver was very emotional. Passenger not transported by bus.
Sunday September 16
FOREST KNOLLS –A resident reported a group of juveniles throwing plums at passing vehicles at 10:04 p.m. Deputy contacted the youths, admonished and released them to their parents. The parents promised to correct the youth’s behavior. Plums were gathered for pie making.
STINSON BEACH – At 9:32 p.m. a resident reported fireworks, a deputy checked but fireworks show was over.
POINT REYES STATION – At 6:31 p.m. a resident requested assistance with an out of control teen. The parent’s recent separation contributed to the teen’s break down.
BOLINAS – An out of control teen (a different one) jumped from her parent’s car and disappeared. Deputies began circulation a missing persons bulletin.
TOMALES – A resident reported hearing gunshots at 3:57 p.m. Deputy spoke with resident and explained that hunting season would last another few weeks. Resident will call if gunshots continue after sunset.
LAGUNITAS – A resident at 12:19 p.m. informed deputies that a man was camping illegally near the hiking trails.
WOODACRE – A resident at 6:03 a.m. reported a prowler. Deputy found a neighbor looking for her cat.

NICASIO – A resident reported at 6:09 p.m. a ring valued at $20,000 was stolen a few months ago. Report filed.
POINT REYES STATION – At 3:10 p.m. scheduled child custody exchange at 3 p.m. at Pt Reyes Substation fizzled when no one showed.
BOLINAS – A resident requested advice at 1:05 p.m. about ongoing harassment and possible vandalism. Advice given and extra patrol scheduled.
NICASIO – A two-year-old stung by a bee in the ear reported at 10:16 a.m. Emergency medical dispatched.
BOLINAS – A neighbor reported at 9:59 a.m. a man and his ex-wife were arguing. Abated prior to arrival of deputy.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident sought advice about possible mail theft at 3:29 p.m. Advice given.
BOLINAS – A resident sought advice at 12:55 p.m. about a juvenile working in the area. The youth plays his car stereo loudly and disturbs the resident greatly. Deputy gave advice.
September 11
LAGUNITAS – A resident reported at 6:27 p.m. a prowler in the area. Description of prowler provided. Resident believes the prowler staying in an abandoned cabin nearby. Deputy contacted the owner of the cabin. Cabin appeared to deputy an attractive nuisance. Owner will fix the building. County code enforcement notified.
WOODACRE – At 12:54 a.m. a resident requested a deputy to check her yard. Resident reported the gate open and hearing running down the stairs. Deputy unable to locate anything suspicious except a possible animal in yard. Deputy spoke with resident and gave advice.
MUIR BEACH – At 12:35 a.m. Highway Patrol received a call reporting five people at a campsite had started a fire that spread to a tree. Park Police and CHP moved the putative campers along.
BOLINAS – At 12:12 a.m. a noisy, aggressive man acting drunk on Wharf Road attracted the attention of a deputy. Deputy determined the man had been drinking, but the man thoughtfully agreed to leave town.
September 10
STINSON BEACH –A resident at 7:38 p.m. reported a jacket disappeared from the front porch. There were no leads and no suspects. Report filed.
BOLINAS – At 3:17 p.m. a long-standing dispute among neighbors boiled over when one elderly woman poked her elderly neighbor’s husband in the chest. Deputy told both parties to avoid each other.
BOLINAS – A resident requested at 9:09 a.m. a deputy to stand by while he placed a line to mark his property boundary. Resident reported problems with his neighbor in the past. This is a different set of neighbors from the one’s having problems at 3:17 p.m. Line marked while deputy stood by without incident.
Sunday September 9
POINT REYES STATION – A business reported at 8:26 p.m. ejecting a patron. Deputy found the man driving on a suspended license and issued a citation.
INVERNESS PARK – At 7:08 p.m. a report of a probably drunken driver on Sir Francis Drake logged by dispatchers. Highway Patrol and deputies were advised to be on the lookout.
BOLINAS – At 3:52 p.m. a man requested medical aid after being stung by bees.
LAGUNITAS – A domestic violence incident reported by the victim at 2:34 p.m. Victim was struck in the face but refused criminal prosecution. She will pursue a restraining order. She had the children.
MARSHALL – At 1:16 p.m. a solo motorcycle crash reported. Highway Patrol to file a report.
Saturday September 8
DILLON BEACH – Fireworks reported at 10:24 p.m.
NICASIO – A motorist parked in pullout on Lucas Valley Road reported a burglary at 9:39 p.m. The unknown subject smashed the front right door window. A purse was taken with $15 cash, a backpack with $400 of electronic toys.
STINSON BEACH – A caller reported at 7:57 p.m. a bonfire on the beach. Deputy spoke with renters who agreed to put it out.
INVERNESS PARK – At 4:11 p.m. an elderly alzheimer’s patient reported missing. They were located a few minutes later.
INVERNESS – At 3:41 p.m. a pedestrian reported several vehicles nearly struck her while she was crossing in the crosswalk.
NICASIO – A caller reported at 12:56 p.m. that slurry contractor blocked access to the restaurant.
BOLINAS – The contractor working on the slurry seal in Bolinas reported signs placed to alert residents about the work scheduled for Tuesday the 11th had disappeared overnight. Cones placed at each driveway the following day also disappeared. Flyers placed under windshield wipers vanished. Stickers announcing the work were finally placed on the windshields of cars in the area of the work.
BOLINAS – A caller at 2:51 a.m. complained of bikers hassling people in front of bar. Deputy returned and peace restored.
BOLINAS – At 2:33 a.m. a verbal argument among locals and tourists reported. All had been drinking powerful beverages. Problem abated before arrival of deputy. All agreed to go to bed for the night but not with each other.
Thursday September 6
MARSHALL – At 7:23 p.m. a resident reported several loud men screaming and yelling. Loud explosion also reported. Deputy found the men fishing but not drunk although they were playing their car stereo loudly. They reported an oyster in their fire pit exploded. The men agreed to keep it down and not cook any more oysters in the fire pit. Deputy found no criminal activity.
POINT REYES STATION – At 6:21 p.m. a neighbor reported ongoing construction at the Creamery. Deputy checked but work had just stopped.
NICASIO – At 6:05 p.m. a neighbor complained about dogs barking for several hours. Deputy contacted the dog owner, who agreed to quiet the animals. Deputy reported this was an ongoing feud among neighbors.
FOREST KNOLLS – An ongoing feud with neighbors about aggressive dogs reported at 3:25 p.m. Deputy gave advice.
BOLINAS – At 11:48 p.m. a fight reported among three men. Deputy responded lights and siren from Nicasio and was unable to locate the fighters.
Wednesday September 5
INVERNESS – At 6:44 p.m. a resident reported a burglary. Unknown how burglars entered the house but the key under the doormat was still there. A laptop, radio and coins taken. Report filed.
DOGTOWN – at 3:47 a.m. a resident reported an Adopt-a-Highway sign defaced with racist slogans. Another sign, homemade with similar epithets erected next to the highway sign. Photos taken of signs before removal.

NICASO – A caller reported a multi-car crash on Lucas Valley Road at 7:23 p.m.
WOODACRE – A resident reported finding at12:41 p.m. a backpack with clothing on the street. Deputy determined the owner had intended the clothing to go to trash.
MARSHALL – At 9:46 a.m. lines down reported on Highway One.
POINT REYES STATION – At 8:07 a.m. a caller reported a deer hit by a car was not yet dead. Deputy called Humane to put the deer down and remove the body.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 7:58 a.m. a motor home camping overnight. Deputy met a nice family from Germany who were unaware of local laws. They were cooperative and left the area.
DILLON BEACH – At 12:29 a.m. noisy campers reported by other campers. Deputy got them all to agree to be quiet.
BOLINAS – A resident at 10:25 p.m. reported a live band playing possibly without benefit of permits. Deputy arrived as a small wedding party broke up. Homeowner advised of county code.
Sunday September 2
POINT REYES STATION – At 9:59 p.m. a resident reported a loud party at a construction site. Deputy was unable to locate. Reporting party called back to say the party broke up a few minutes after he called.
STINSON BEACH – At 8:22 p.m. fireworks reported. Deputy walked the beach but found nor heard any fireworks but did advise one couple on the beach to douse their campfire.
POINT REYES STATION – At 5:42 p.m. a child custody exchange handled without incident.
INVERNESS – At 5:27 p.m. two boaters exchanged heated words but left without further action.
BIG ROCK/LUCAS VALLEY ROAD – A caller reported at 3:42 p.m. two black and white cows on road. Deputy herded them back into their pasture.
NICASIO – A caller reported at 12:43 p.m. a motorcycle went straight on a turn and flew into the underbrush. Caller said the driver was badly injured. Highway Patrol and Nicasio Fire and Marin County Fire handled the incident.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 12:04 p.m. a resident complained that protesters in the area were encouraging motorists to honk their horns – if they were against the war. Resident wanted the war to continue and the honking to stop. Resident asked deputy to check if protesters had a permit.
INVERNESS – A resident reported at 10:48 a.m. a nearby vacation home had visitors who were playing loud music. Deputy asked to quiet them down a bit. All quiet on arrival of deputy.
BOLINAS – Three tents on beach were reported at 8:22 a.m. by a resident. No tents visible on arrival of deputy.
INVERNESS PARK – At 2:17 a.m. a resident reported someone shining a bright light into her window. She said it occured about same time each night for the past few nights. Deputy checked and found no merit to the prowler theory but did determine the moon was doing a lot of shining. Resident advised to close the drapes.
STINSON BEACH – At 1:23 a.m. residents reported a party. Extended response by deputy who discovered little noise but a couple of adults talking on their deck. They agreed to go inside.
POINT REYES STATION – At 12:30 a.m. a local watering hole requested a deputy to look in on them. They reported having problems with customers taking their drinks outside. It was a warm night.
POINT REYES STATION – A loud saxophone reported by a resident at 1:27 a.m. Deputy found nor heard a saxophone and reported all quiet on his arrival.
Saturday September 1
BOLINAS – A resident reported at11:32 p.m. that someone has been sleeping in his bed. He found a backpack that probably belongs to the unknown guest. The unknown someone had also eaten the porridge but nothing else was disturbed.
WOODACRE – At 7 p.m. a resident on an evening walk encountered two youths who were smoking marijuana. One of the youths then crossed the street to urinate in the bushes. Dispatcher asked if the youth had exposed himself. Resident said he was too far away to determine. Deputy checked the area but was unable to locate.
DILLON BEACH – A homeowner at 1:32 p.m. reported that someone had broken into his vacation home since his last visit on July 29. Report filed.
DILLON BEACH – At 12:22 p.m. a call to 911 reported an infant fell into a fire. Marin County Fire Tomales Station responded. Bodega Bay ambulance transported the victim to
POINT REYES STATION – A caller reported at 8:26 a.m. a lot of black cows loose on Shoreline near the green bridge.
BOLINAS – A neighbor reported at 7:46 a.m. a woman screaming. Deputy found a woman screaming at her television.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 1:46 a.m. hearing footsteps outside her bathroom window. She felt someone was watching her. Deputy checked and found no sign of anyone in the area. Deputy concluded probable animal sounds disturbed the resident.

STINSON BEACH – At 7:08 p.m. a resident reported a neighbor had taken a traffic cone she used to keep illegal parkers out of her driveway. Deputy advised the disputatious neighbors about parking issues and cone ownership.
OLEMA – A motorist reported at 10:16 a.m. an 18-wheeler blocking traffic and forcing cars to cross the double yellows. Truck was part of long line of trucks working on roadways.
DILLON BEACH – A resident reported at 8:45 am, the theft of three surfboards from his backyard. He thought the theft might be related to last week’s arrest of another man for theft of a resident’s surfboard.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 9:14 p.m. loud screaming nearby. Deputy found two parties who admitted having a fight but only with words. One of the two volunteered to go to bed.
BOLINAS – At 7:35 p.m. a bonfire reported at the homeless encampment near Canyon Road.
BOLINAS – A resident at 2:32 p.m. sought advice on the homeless encampment at the end of Canyon Road. He requested removal by the weekend. Info taken.

POINT REYES STATION – A caller reported at 3:53 p.m. a cow in obvious distress was trapped in water. Cow removed.
BOLINAS – A resident at 1:39 pm, reported a neighbor’s two dogs for excessive barking. The neighbor was cooperative and will monitor the dogs for excessive barking. The neighbors do not get along.
BOLINAS – At 1:22 a.m. a citizen reported locking his keys in his car. Deputy reported he got the car open with his trusty slimjim.

BOLINAS – At 10:02 p.m. a woman, just released from the hospital at 4 p.m. was found dead.
DRAKES VIEW – A resident at 2:51 p.m. called to report the construction on Sir Francis Drake brought traffic to a stand still with extreme delays. Later, deputy reported traffic moving along.
TOMALES – At 12:40 p.m. a rancher reported a barn gate lock was cut and the barn door padlock also destroyed. A toolbox taken.

BOLINAS – At 10:37 p.m. a deputy assisted in a planning department inspection.
LAGUNITAS – A resident at 11:41 p.m. reported a loud high-pitched noise. When deputy investigated he could hear no high-pitched sound – only crickets chirping.
BOLINAS – At 7:49 p.m. a resident reported a smelly bonfire on the beach near Canyon Road. Deputy checked and found no accelerants or creosote in the legal fire. Resident advised that bonfires were legal.

BOLINAS – At 8:46 p.m. a loud and obnoxious drunk arrested and booked for public drunkenness.
Saturday August 25
MARSHALL – A baby seal reported at midnight on Shoreline Highway just north of Tony’s Seafood. A Sonoma County tow truck driver blocked the road to protect the seal. Humane and Marin Marine Mammal Center called. Deputy advised to escort the baby back to water. With a lot of handwaving and shooing the seal was returned to the water nearby. The crowd of deputies and CHP officers were catching their breath on the shoulder of the road when the wily seal snuck up behind them. Fortunately the seal had already been disarmed. Law enforcement – and the tow truck driver – captured the critter and placed it in protective custody. They transported the seal in the back of the Deputy Darby’s patrol car to Dillon Beach. The convoy of law enforcement vehicles arrived at Dillon Beach resort and gathered a crowd of curious onlookers. A passerby contributed some leftover anchovy bait to feed the critter. With a lot of anchovies – obviously enjoyed by the seal – the seal was enticed into the water. The crowd cheered.

INVERNESS PARK – An Inverness Park resident at 7:18 p.m. reported a Pt Reyes Station youth assaulted his son and damaged his car. Deputy will interview other youth to confirm incident before filing report.
POINT REYES STATION – At 5:16 p.m. deputies supervised a child custody exchange.
BOLINAS – At 4:35 p.m., a visitor reported a dog bit him. Deputy took a statement, called for an emergency medical assist and filed a report. Visitor released at scene.
MUIR WOODS – A burglary from an automobile reported at 4:05 p.m.

POINT REYES STATION – At 2:04 p.m. a motorcycle hit another vehicle and took off at a high rate of speed. Damage was minor. Motorcycle described by victim. CHP alerted.

BOLINAS – At 10:49 a.m. a resident reported a BMW turned around on his lawn and spun its tires. Resident said he wanted the driver ‘talked to’ because of her attitude to him. There were no damages to the lawn.
NICASIO – At 10:16 a.m. resident reported seeing several men with rifles walking along a ridge. Their vehicles described. Deputy informed the reporting party it is hunting season.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 8:59 a.m. tent campers on the beach. Deputy talked with the campers and informed them of the “No Camping” time frames. Campers moved along voluntarily. Deputy noted they were not part of the usual camping violation suspects.

WOODACRE – At 9:48 a.m. vandalism reported at a different address. Flares started, garbage scattered about. Report filed.
WOODACRE – At 8:39 a.m. vandalism reported. Garage door and truck damaged. Ongoing problem.
OLEMA – At 6:31 a.m. a moving blanket reported by a camper She said the blanket was within two feet of roadway. Deputy found a transient under the blanket who was encouraged to depart.

STINSON BEACH – A report of a bonfire at 11:59 p.m. investigated by deputy. Fire extinguished before deputy’s arrival. The folks sitting around the still warm embers warned about fires on the beach.
WOODACRE – At 7:01 p.m. fireworks in the area reported for the third time. Deputy was unable to locate.
STINSON BEACH – A reckless driver reported and described at 5:24 p.m. Deputy was unable to locate.
MUIR BEACH – At 12:28 p.m. a automobile burglary reported, among other items license tabs taken.
MARSHALL – At 8:03 a.m. a big rig vs. passenger car crash on Shoreline Highway reported.

FOREST KNOLLS – At 10:38 p.m., Deputy checked on a 9-1-1 hangup at the payphone in front of the store. Deputy reported the receiver off the hook but nothing appeared to be amiss.
BOLINAS – At 7:49 p.m. residents reported loud noises in front of the church. When deputy arrived all was quiet. Other people walking in the area said some youths on bikes were hanging out there but left before deputy’s arrival.
SAN GERONOMINO – A resident requested at 5:36 p.m. advice about a person who may show up at a festival on Saturday. Advice given.
STINSON BEACH – Marine Mammal Center notified at 4:14 p.m. of a stranded seal on the beach 100 yards from the tennis courts.
LAGUNITAS – At 1:20 p.m. a resident reported a man harassing people. Deputy found a man camping in a legal spot who was not a danger to himself or others.
MARSHALL – At 11:14 a.m., Deputy assisted a social worker in an investigation.
BOLINAS – At 8:29 a.m. a resident reported campers, complete with a barking dog, on the beach. Deputy investigated but camping is legal during the week.
Wednesday August 15
BOLINAS – At 9:42 p.m. a resident reported an extremely large bonfire on the beach. He reported 10 or more people around the fire. No structures threatened by fire. Deputy investigated, contacted, admonished and educated the firemakers about etiquette when dealing with Bolinas FD.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 9:54 p.m. what he thought were rocks hitting his window. Deputy found four holes in window from a BB gun. Persons unknown and responsible were not located. Report filed.
POINT REYES STATION –Deputies at 8:19 p.m. investigated a report of some animals in distress at a ranch. Four dogs located in individual kennels with food and water. Message left for non-resident owner.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 9:10 a.m. harassing phone calls from an ex-GF. He requested deputy call her and tell her to stop. Deputy called but there was no answer.

BOLINAS – At 10:40 p.m. a driver reported a black cow in the roadway. Deputy found a stray cow at mile marker 21.28. Deputy successfully herded the cow back into pasture. Message left for cow’s owner.
POINT REYES STATION – At 9:23 p.m. car vs. deer crash reported.
NICASIO – Dirt bikes reported at 8:30 p.m. riding where they are not wanted. Deputy to follow up.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 7:33 p.m. his daughter was approached by a homeless man who told her not to pick the blackberries because he was living off them.
STINSON BEACH – 4:28 p.m., a woman reported her ex- showed up at her place and assaulted her. She had a restraining order against him. Deputy was to get further info and write a report for violation of court order and assault.
POINT REYES STATION – A caller reported 12:05 p.m. a young woman sitting on a bench drinking alcohol. He reported she had already drunk a whole bottle of alcohol and that he was concerned for her safety. The woman was arrested and booked for public drunkenness.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 11:49 a.m. a man living in the nearby bushes for months. He reported the man was taking a bath in the creek. Deputy was unable to locate.
BOLINAS – At 7:58 a.m. a resident reported a whole tent city set up on the beach. Deputy found no laws violated.

BOLINAS – At 8:06 p.m. a black cow reported next to the call box on Shoreline.

FOREST KNOLLS – At4:20 p.m. a family reported a son ran away after threatening suicide. Report filed, missing persons watch list notified.
DILLON BEACH – At 10:44 p.m. a man reported a woman tried to force her way into his home. Restraining order advice given. Report filed. NFA.
Sunday August 12
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported a bonfire on the beach at 10:09 pm. Deputy contacted two men who were burning logs that gave off a toxic smell. They extinguished the fire.
SAN GERONIMO – A resident reported at 8:19 p.m. his pickup had a radio, cell phone and flashlight taken from it. Report filed.
DILLON BEACH – A campground manager reported at 7:56 p.m. a camper has been littering, acting irrational and confrontational. Deputy escorted the camper, his vehicles and trailer from the campground. Dillon Beach campgrounds have several hundred vehicles camping and enjoying the weather this month.
TOMALES – A resident reported at 7:52 p.m. his fence damaged and several fence posts mowed down. He reported the incident happened sometime last night. No culprit vehicle remained on scene.
SAN GERONIMO – At 7:49 p.m. a resident reported his locked vehicle entered last night and golf clubs taken. Clubs valued at $3000. Report filed.
INVERNESS – At 3:49 p.m. Two cars parked illegally reported adjacent to a ‘no parking’ sign. Both vehicles cited.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 2 p.m. reported a shed and fence were painted with graffiti last night. The painted words refer to another man. Deputy was to contact the subject of the vandalism to get possible suspect information.
TOMALES – PETALUMA ROAD – At 11:10 a.m. a man having a heart attack was assisted by fire agency and flown by helicopter to emergency room.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 6:51 a.m., campers with their vehicles parked on the beach. Deputy spoke with the out-of-towners and advised them of the camping ordinance. Deputy noted that the ‘no camping’ sign is still missing at the end of the wharf. Campers packed up and left.
WOODACRE – Residents reported a loud party at 12:53 a.m. Deputy made contact with the hosts who agreed to turn it down. At 1:42 a.m. another resident complained of the same loud party. This time the deputy shut down the party – all persons moved inside.
Saturday August 11
TOMALES – At 10:06 p.m. A resident reported that a neighbor’s dogs are coming onto his property and causing disturbances. He reported he ends up feeding the dogs for days at a time. Resident sought advice. Advice given. Resident will call Humane.
STINSON BEACH 8/11, 8:37 p.m. A bacherlorette party attracted men at a neighboring house. The men were asked to leave, refused and became belligerent. The bacherlorette party host requested deputies to make contact with the men and make them go away. Deputy found the men nearby and intoxicated. They agreed to go to bed for the evening. Report filed.
BOLINAS – At 3:34 p.m. a caller reported a very drunk man got into a vehicle and drove toward Highway 1. Description given. Deputy found the man and his car at a turnout but was unable to place him behind the wheel with the car was moving. The driver was cited for having an open container.
WOODACRE – A resident reported at 9:52 p.m. two mountain bikes stolen out of his garage overnight. Burglary report taken.
POINT REYES STATION – At 2:08 a.m. A saloon patron reported his valuable mountain bike taken from outside the saloon between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Bike was not locked.
WOODACRE – At 12:36 a.m. a resident reported seeing a bright light coming from the sky. She didn’t believe it was part of the meteor shower display. She did not hear any noise associated with the light. She wanted the area checked. Deputy concluded it was the meteor shower.
Friday August 10
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:19 a.m. a resident reported a barking dog. All was quiet on arrival of deputy until he walked into the yard. A note left for the dog owner to contact deputies.
LAGUNITAS – At 8:02 p.m. a motorist reported a cow in the road between Samuel P. Taylor and Olema. Ranch hands fixed the fence and returned the cow to its pasture.
BOLINAS –A caller reported at 7:14 p.m. an intoxicated man refused to leave and had become combative. Deputy was unable to locate.
STINSON BEACH – At 6:44 p.m. a resident reported two men selling meat came into her yard. Both men described but deputy did not locate the solicitors.
BOLINAS – At 3:30 p.m. a PG&E transformer blew and started a small grass fire along Highway 1. Several fire agencies responded. Highway Patrol and deputies assisted with traffic control.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:32 a.m. a beachgoer reported finding a handgun on the beach. Deputy spoke with the beachgoer. She found a 9mm handgun that was heavily rusted – deputy was unable to read the serial number.
DILLON BEACH – A caller reported at 12:53 a.m. to Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office a man missing for two hours at the beach. Subject described. Deputy investigated and while at the reporting party’s campsite the missing man walked up. He said he was OK and had been at another campsite.
STINSON BEACH – At 12:36 a.m. a resident reported fireworks off Calle Del Arroyo. Deputy was unable to locate.

PETALUMA – MARSHALL ROAD – At 9:44 p.m. a Sheriff’s vehicle struck a deer on Highway 1.

Sunday August 5
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 9:20 p.m. fireworks and a bonfire. The resident tried to warn the group about fire and fireworks ordinances. They ignored the resident. Deputy contacted juveniles on the beach and put out the fire. No fireworks observed.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 6:05 p.m. two men looking into a parked car with a little too much interest. Description given but deputy was unable to locate the men and observed no on view problems.
DILLON BEACH – At 4:17 p.m. a camper called to report that some men found missing fishing poles at a nearby campsite. Those campers when confronted said they were unaware of the piles of camping gear. The gear was in plain sight. They claimed a pedestrian they had befriended must have done the deed(s). The pedestrian camper had apparently helped himself to fishing and camping equipment at other campsites. Deputy was able to return about 90 percent of the stuff to its rightful owners. The pedestrian camper was not found. Deputy was confronted with a mound of camping and fishing gear without owners and an equally large pile of paperwork.
BOLINAS – At 8:58 a.m. a resident reported four or five kids sleeping on the beach with two campfires. Deputy cited one illegal camper.
STINSON BEACH – At 6:56 a.m. a resident reported a pickup with a dog in the back. The dog, a chocolate lab, had been howling all night. Deputy checked that the dog had food, water and shelter. Dog’s owner located in a nearby hotel.
Saturday August 4
FOREST KNOLLS – A friend called at 9:27 for medical assistance after a woman couldn’t be wakened after drinking a bottle of wine and other alcohol. Ambulance transported to the Marin General Hospital.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:09 p.m. a resident reported an illegal campfire in a stand of trees. Deputy put the fire out and disbursed the rowdy juveniles.
DILLON BEACH – A verbal disturbance was reported at 8:42 p.m. Disturbers abated themselves before deputy arrived.
BOLINAS – At 5:36 p.m. two bonfires reported on the beach off Brighton Ave. Reporting party said there were 10 people around the fires.
SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 5:28 p.m. reported a sliding glass door was broken while he was on vacation. He didn’t know if anything was taken. Report filed.
DILLON BEACH – At 3:08 p.m. a campground manager reported a juvenile driving an SUV flashed a weapon when asked to slow down. After a search, deputy reported the teen left the area.
DILLON BEACH – At 11:57 a.m. a caller reported a four-wheeler rolled over in a pasture. Caller did not know if there were injuries.
POINT REYES STATION – At 4:48 a.m. a resident reported a pickup locked inside a fenced yard had its flashers flashing. Resident did not know if the flashers were accidentally left on or if something suspicious was happening.
Friday August 3
TOMALES – At 9:14 p.m. two family members could not agree after the non-resident was asked to leave. One found the other too loud. Deputy determined the uncooperative family member to be sober and willing to leave.
BOLINAS – At 7:11 p.m. a resident reported a loud, apparently drunk man on Brighton Ave. Deputy arrested the loudmouth and booked him into Marin County Jail for public drunkenness.
MARSHALL – At 5:47 p.m. a resident reported four men fishing, drinking and urinating at a spot along the bay nearby. Deputy investigated the men who had fishing licenses and cans of non-alcoholic beer.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 9:47 p.m. reported a strange vehicle slowing and stopping outside her residence. Deputy determined the vehicle was a Marin County Sheriff's Office car.
NICASIO – At 10:49 a.m. a resident reported motorized dirt bikes riding on private property in the Rancho Santa Margarita Preserve. Resident captured the riders on camera. Deputy spoke with the resident who was unsure if the dirt bikes were on Open Space property or on adjacent private property. Deputy passed the info onto the Open Space deputy.
Wednesday August 1
STINSON BEACH – A resident at 9:14 p.m. gave dispatchers a description of a woman who had been drinking driving away. Deputy made contact with the woman, who admitted to several drinks, who was in her residence and who agreed to stay there till morning.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 11:40 a.m. a resident reported her locked home was forcibly entered by persons unknown during the last week. She reported checks and credit cards taken. Checks taken have since cleared the bank. Report filed for residential burglary.
WOODACE – A man at 11:05 a.m. reported that earlier that morning he was set upon by three unleashed, large, aggressive dogs. He reported he used a nearby road cone to protect himself. The dogs were unknown to him. An aggressive man, the apparent aggressive dog owner, walked up screaming obscenities at the resident. Deputy gave advice.
DILLON BEACH – At 7:04 a.m. a camper reported a dozen kids going through campsites taking firewood and other items. Camper met the deputy to point out location of the kids. Deputy reported all parties worked out a deal and the thieves left the campground with no further action required.
Tuesday July 31
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 9:16 p.m. a beach fire at the end of Francisco Patio. Resident reported several groups of juveniles around the beach fire. Deputy contacted several different groups of juveniles and advised them of the no fires ordinance. Fires extinguished.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 7:38 pm, a drunk driver on the road headed for Bolinas. The drunk driver had a record of driving drunk. Description given but deputy was unable to locate.
MARSHALL – At 5:46 p.m. a resident reported people partying in a cove alongside the roadway. Resident was concerned with litter, illegal drug activity and public urination. Deputy found law-abiding citizens fishing.
POINT REYES STATION – At 11:01 a.m. a driver of a pickup truck and livestock trailer gave the Inverness Fire Chief the one-armed salute when the Chief tried to get the speeding truck to slow down. Driver stopped by CHP and admonished.
Sunday July 29
STINSON BEACH – At 10:44 p.m. a bonfire on beach reported. Deputy advised fire worshipers of county ordinance.
STINSON BEACH – At 10:33 p.m., Fireworks reported off Calle Del Pradero. Deputy talked with a group at a campfire that had fireworks before he arrived. But their stash of fireworks was all used up. They were advised of fireworks and fire ordinances.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 9:41 p.m. a screaming and threatening young man near Park Ave. Deputy talked with man and advised him to leave the downtown area. He agreed to not return tonight.
NICASIO – A resident reported at 8:58 p.m. three cars doing car tricks on a private driveway. No further action.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 8:46 p.m. a man shouting at his dog. The dog was sitting in the middle of the street in front of the Church. Resident said the man appeared confused. Man and dog were still there when Deputy arrived and were moved along.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident reported at 7:24 p.m. a vehicle parked across the street with very loud music. She attempted to talk with the car’s occupants who were uncooperative. Deputy was unable to locate.
DILLON BEACH – At 5:59 p.m. the Marin County Sheriff's Office received a request from Petaluma Police department who responded to Petaluma Valley Hospital emergency room for a case of domestic violence. A woman was being treated at the ER for injuries due to violence. The victim’s husband was believed to be at the Dillon Beach campground. The victim did not want any action at this time. Petaluma Police Department sent a courtesy report.
MARSHALL – A caller at 1:39 p.m. reported a head on crash on Shoreline Highway. Deputies assisted Marin County Fire and CHP.
TOMALES – A resident reported at 10:42 a.m. seeing a mortar and pestle offered for sale on eBay resembling a set that had been stolen from her. She valued the set at $500. Resident advised on how to contact eBay fraud division.
Saturday July 28
BOLINAS – A caller at 11:20 p.m. reported drumming near Alder Rd. Deputy investigated and encountered a Native American religious ceremonial drum circle. Deputy talked with the drummers, who were aware of noise ordinance but would be continuing ceremony until 6 a.m. Deputy observed that the drums were not audible beyond 50 feet.
STINSON BEACH – At 9:02 p.m. a resident reported beach fires off Calle Del Sierra. Deputy found seven campfires. All fires extinguished and partygoers warned of campfire ordinance.
MUIR BEACH – A visitor at 7:02 p.m. reported a van burglarized while parked on Shoreline Highway. Window smashed and purses, passports and clothes taken. Report filed.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 6:56 p.m. two dogs in two outdoor kennels making pitiful noises. Resident concerned about hot sun. Humane agency response would be very long. Deputy investigated and cancelled Humane response.
POINT REYES STATION – A resident of Mesa Road reported at 2:38 p.m. her car’s gas tank siphoned and the gas lines cut on her truck. Resident was unable to provide any suspect information. Report filed.
MARSHALL –A resident reported at 1:30 p.m. numerous men drinking and being men in a Shoreline Highway pullout nearby. Resident has reported the same problem at this location several times recently. Deputy was unable to locate.
POINT REYES STATION – At 12:01 a.m. a resident reported a man harassed her at the Laundromat. She reported he followed her to her trailer. Deputy investigated and found the man was upset over relationship issues. He had been drinking but was in his trailer. The man agreed to go to bed for the night.
DILLON BEACH –A camper reported at 1:45 a.m. a group of kids being kids at the campground. Deputy made contact with the group who went to sleep for the night.
Friday July 27
STINSON BEACH – At 9:58 p.m. a bonfire reported by a resident on the beach off Francisco Patio. Bonfire extinguished prior to arrival of Deputy. Another bonfire reported at 8:57 p.m. with the same result.
NICASIO – At 8:39 p.m. a Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a resident to make a death notification.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported at 6:50 p.m. some kids in a construction area in the park. Deputy talked with the kids who were playing ball and went to retrieve an errant ball in the play area. They were admonished about entering a construction area. No further action.
BOLINAS –A resident reported at 5:55 p.m. his ex-wife’s current boyfriend called and threatened to kill him. Resident and his ex are having ongoing custody disputes. The ex’s boyfriend lives in another county. Resident requested deputy to call and advise the boyfriend about making inappropriate phone calls.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 11:38 a.m. the catalytic converter cut off his car overnight. Car was parked alongside Shoreline Highway. Report filed.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:46 a.m. a resident requested assistance getting a friend into his car. The friend broke his leg last night in a fall. The friend was rather large. Ambulance dispatched and transported the friend to Petaluma Valley Hospital.

STINSON BEACH – At 3:15 p.m. a resident reported a man was disruptive and possibly under the influence of some mind-and-body altering substance. An adult man arrested and booked for public drunkenness.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 1:25 p.m. an intoxicated man refusing to leave. Intoxicated man taken to Helen Vine to dry out.

LAGUNITAS – At 8:17 a.m. a resident reported vandalism to his cars. He said they were spray-painted. Resident also reported vandalism to his cars and pickup last week. Another report filed.
BOLINAS – A caller at 1:36 a.m. reported to CHP a man walking on Shoreline Highway. The caller said the man said he was lost in the forest and bears were after him. CHP requested Marin County Sheriff's Office to check on the man. A cooperative homeless man was given a ride to homeless shelter in Petaluma.
Tuesday July 24
WOODACRE – A caller reported at 9:52 p.m. an intoxicated man on Railroad Ave. Deputy arrested, transported and booked the man into Marin County Jail for public drunkenness.
INVERNESS PARK – At 8:31 a.m. a resident reported his neighbor threatened him after their dogs fought. The neighbor threatened to beat up the caller. Resident called seeking advice due to his neighbor’s violent history. Deputy talked to both neighbors and rendered advice about getting along.
BOLINAS – At 7:52 a.m. deputies were asked to check on a probably homeless woman. She had been at Marin General Hospital ER and made threats to slash her wrists because she wasn’t getting proper treatment. Deputy could not locate the woman at the address given. Deputy will continue to attempt to locate the woman.
STINSON BEACH – A bonfire reported earlier at Francisco Patio was reported at 2:41 a.m. to be burning again. Deputy investigated and concluded no one had been at the bonfire since he put it out. He reported his footprints were the only ones in the area – fire was out but smoldering.
Monday July 23
STINSON BEACH – At 10:53 p.m. a resident reported a bonfire on the beach. He reported he could smell burning creosote and hear a small group. When Deputy arrived nobody present, but their remnants still smoldering.
BOLINAS – A resident 9:01 p.m. reported a juvenile arrived at his home with a story about her mom and an assault. Mother of the juvenile appears to be homeless who had reported her daughter missing earlier. Deputy leaves the juvenile in the resident’s temporary care until mom is found and the whole mess sorted out.
INVERNESS –A motorist reported 8:52 p.m. a branch fell from a tree and broke the rear windows of his car. Motorist sought advice about how to safely drive home with a juvenile passenger. Only the car was injured. Advice given.
PETALUMA-PT REYES ROAD – At 7:08 p.m. Highway Patrol responded to scene of vehicle crash. Marin County Fire responded for to render medical aid.
MUIR BEACH – A motorist at 2:42 p.m. reported a motorcycle left the roadway and went over the embankment. Motorist could see the cyclist had a leg injury but was conscious and breathing. Muir Beach Fire assisted with medical aid and traffic control. Highway Patrol to write the report.
MUIR WOODS – At 2:15 p.m. an automobile burglarized. Report taken.
MUIR WOODS – At 1:22 p.m. a window smashed and an automobile burglarized. Report taken.
BOLINAS – At 1:17 p.m. a woman reported her daughter assaulted her then ran away. The juvenile listed as a missing. Deputy continued his investigation.
DILLON BEACH – At 11:26 a.m. a motorist reported an auto crash on Franklin School Road. Responding to the incident were Highway Patrol, Marin County Fire Tomales Station, Bodega Bay Fire ambulance and Marin County Sheriff's Office. Driver transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital. Vehicle towed.
DILLON BEACH – 10:30 a.m., A woman reported a man made verbal threats to her and her boyfriend. She said the man might work in the area. Deputy talked to the woman about her boyfriend, who had been arrested by Santa Rosa PD for stalking his ex-girlfriend. Complicated double triangle and potential violence report filed.
DILLON BEACH – At 7:13 a.m. a trailer boat owner reported the theft of solar cells from his boat. Report filed.
Sunday July 22
STINSON BEACH – A vacation renter reported 9:43 p.m. juveniles setting off fireworks on the beach at Calle Del Pradero. Deputy was unable to locate fireworks, but did put out one bonfire.
BOLINAS – At 7:01 p.m. a resident reported in great detail the description of a man who appeared to be drunk. The allegedly drunken man got in a pickup truck and drove toward Olema. Deputy was unable to locate.
WOODACRE – At 5:30 p.m. a resident reported fireworks at the golf course.
SAN GERONIMO – At 5:40 p.m. a resident reported children setting off fireworks behind the school. Deputy was unable to locate.
BOLINAS – At 5:05 p.m. a medical provider reported the wreckage of four people fighting. Upon investigation the Deputy found that an ongoing property line dispute set off the confrontation. The battling parties had already found a settlement by then by agreeing to move a fence post. Neither of the parties wanted to press charges against the other. Parties were to consult lawyers on Monday.
LAGUNITAS –A resident 4:57 p.m. reported he heard some suspicious noises two nights ago and saw someone put something in the nearby dumpster. Resident reported an awful smell coming from the dumpster. Deputy investigated but could not locate any unusual smells.
BOLINAS – A resident reported 2:14 p.m. signs of someone camping in the Peach Garden. Resident requested an extra patrol that night to catch the camper. Deputy did not report contacting any camper at the Peach Garden.
STINSON BEACH – At 1:34 p.m. Deputy cited several vehicles for parking violations on Arenal Ave.
MUIR WOODS – A visitor reported at 12:43 p.m., rear windows smashed on vehicle at the parking area. US Park Police standing by to contact vehicle owner who was hiking.
WOODACRE – A member of a wedding party discovered and reported at 12:23 a.m. her wallet emptied when she left it in the women’s locker room the day before. Deputy investigated and learned the credit card had been used for a $167 purchase at Walgreen’s. Report filed.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 1:41 a.m. a resident reported a barking dog nearby. All was quiet on arrival of Deputy. Deputy reported he waited five minutes and then heard two barks before the dog went quiet. Deputy was unable to pinpoint location of barker.
Saturday July 21
STINSON BEACH – At 11:50 p.m. a resident reported yelling, screaming and bonfires on the beach. Deputy moved the party along and put out all the bonfires.
STINSON BEACH –A resident reported 11:16 p.m. she heard a man and woman arguing upstairs. Deputy investigated and found the upstairs woman was arguing with her dog. Deputy made contact with resident who reported she was going to bed.
WOODACRE – At 11:07 p.m., a resident reported she could hear a live band and lots of screaming. Deputy investigated and found a bachelorette party in full swing. Music turned off, party shut down.
STINSON BEACH – A property manager reported 7:48 p.m. teens had entered a vacation home and for some serious partying. Damage made to screens and doors. Report filed.
CHILENO VALLEY ROAD – At 7:29 p.m. a caller reported a man in a grey SUV fighting with a woman. The man appeared to be intoxicated. Wilson Hill to Chileno Valley Road checked by Deputy but nothing found.
BOLINAS – a resident reported 6:47 a.m. a man killing leopard sharks. Resident gave a detailed description but deputy did not find him.
LAGUNITAS – At 2:39 p.m. a resident reported several items missing from his home. There were no signs of forced entry. Report taken for residential burglary.
BOLINAS – At 2:02 p.m. a visitor reported a three-year-old bit on the face by a dog. Deputy investigated and located a dog owner who tried to hide the dog. Report filed.
NICASIO – At 9:29 a.m. a motorist reported a motorcycle-versus-car crash. Motorist reported the cyclist was injured but he could see him moving his legs. Highway wrote the report. No medical transport required.
PETALUMA-PT REYES ROAD – At 7:47 a.m. an overturned vehicle reported to Highway Patrol. Reporting party said there was one man with some injuries. Deputy assisted Highway Patrol.
Friday July 20
SAN GERONIMO – A large party was shut down after several noise complaints were made at 11:36 p.m. Party host given brochure and advised of noise ordinance.
WOODACRE – At 9:43 p.m., a resident reported an apparently drunk woman drove off in an Audi headed toward Nicasio. Report passed to Highway Patrol.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:07 p.m. a camper reported a verbal altercation with other campers about campsites. Deputy counseled all parties involved and resolved the situation. No further action required.
MARSHALL – At 4:10 p.m. a resident reported a middle-aged man missing from his room. Resident reported the man had been depressed recently. Man found outside of his residence. Deputies referred the case to the coroner as an unattended death – probable suicide.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 9:11 a.m. a cell phone mysteriously appeared on her kitchen counter. Owner, who has some issues, of cell phone located. Resident advised.
Thursday July 19
POINT REYES STATION – Deputies attempted at 9:46 p.m. to contact and advise a person that a suspect in a sex crime case will be bailed out of Marin County Jail at 10:45 p.m. Contact made.
FOREST KNOLLS – Resident reported at 9:58 p.m. his home burglarized while he was at work. Deputy reported there were no signs of forced entry and an unknown point of entry. Three gold necklaces valued at $500 taken but other valuables overlooked. No suspect information.
MARSHALL – At 9:16 a.m. two vessels abated, dismantled and destroyed.
PETALUMA-MARSHALL ROAD – 7:27 p.m. a resident reported that juveniles were going in and out of a nearby area with backpacks. Resident reported that last year that area was the site of a marijuana grow. He also reported a suspicious vehicle possibly associated with the youths has been parked in there the past few nights.

WOODACRE – At 8:54 a.m. a warrant served and an arrest made. Subject booked into Marin County Jail.
Tuesday July 17
BOLINAS – A caller reported at 10:23 p.m. loud music coming from a vehicle parked across from Smiley’s. Deputy was unable to locate car with loud stereo.
WOODACRE – At 9:57 p.m. a barking dog complaint reported to dispatchers. All quiet on arrival of deputy who was unable to locate barking dog. No further action required.
LAGUNITAS – At 2:59 p.m. a gunshot reported, Area checked but deputy was unable to locate anything of interest.
POINT REYES STATION – At 9:28 a.m. a caller reported horses loose and in the roadway on the Mesa. When deputy arrived horses were off the road and in a field. Deputy left message on voicemail for horse owners.

NICASIO – At 11:46 a.m. a resident reported a possibly disturbed man had killed her two cats. She wanted a report taken for documentation. Report filed.
One cat died from some unknown trauma. The other cat is missing.
Monday July 16
STINSON BEACH – At 11:38 p.m. a woman called for help from her out-of-gas car on Shoreline Highway. She called back to say the owner of the Stinson Beach Grill gave her a ride to Bolinas to get a can of gas. No further action necessary.
MUIR BEACH – A visitor reported at 3:55 p.m. a purse taken from her vehicle. Window broken while parked near Muir Woods. Report taken for auto burglary.
WOODACRE – 7/16, 3:32 p.m. Deputies received a report from dispatch that a domestic violence offender was about to be released from jail. Deputies were sent to notify the victim.
POINT REYES STATION – At 3:14 p.m. a stray cow spotted between A and B St. on 6th St. Description given, deputies on the lookout.
LAGUNITAS – A resident awoke at 7:36 a.m. to find his vehicle’s tires slashed and truck vandalized. Truck and utility trailer spray-painted, tire stems cut, windshield wipers bent and dog poop on smeared on windshield. Resident shared suspect information with deputy who filed a report.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 3:37 a.m., a resident reported two sets of dogs barking. One set of dogs set off the other. Both dog owners not home. Deputy responded and made contact with resident and the other dog owner. Dog owner advised of doggie ordinance.
Sunday July 15
WOODACRE – A resident at 7:13 p.m. reported vandalism to his car. He requested extra patrols past his residence since this was the second incident of vandalism.
WOODACRE – At 6:36 p.m. a woman reported domestic violence. Her partner arrested for domestic violence.
STINSON BEACH – A caller reported at 6:25 p.m. two hikers missing on the trail west of Ridgecrest. Hikers found and reunited with reporting party.
BOLINAS – A resident at 9:15 a.m. reported some men fishing near the seals and scaring them away. She reported they are within 20 feet of the seals. Deputy responded and reported three fishermen and 1000 seals sleeping.
DILLON BEACH – A camper reported 2:55 a.m. a large group of adults yelling, drinking and making a nuisance of themselves. Camper asked them to quiet down, twice, but they refused. Camper was in a tent about 500 yards away. Deputy was unable to locate.
POINT REYES STATION – At 1:52 a.m. a patron at a drinking establishment reported two men had just left who had been drinking heavily. Description given and vehicle stopped. Driver arrested for drunk driving and passenger for being drunk in public.
Saturday July 14
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:48 p.m. a loud group of campers reported for playing loud music. Deputy made contact and they turned off the music.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 10:17 p.m. a resident complained of a very loud and large party nearby. Deputy arrived and party shut down.
FOREST KNOLLS – The first report made at 9:21 p.m. of party shut down at 10:17 p.m. Host agreed to turn down music when contacted by deputy.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported 6:34 p.m. someone sleeping in a camper on Belvedere Ave. Deputy made contact and advised campers to move along. Warning given.
BOLINAS – A resident sought advice at 4:40 p.m. about wrong way traffic on Cliff St. Deputy gave advice. Resident will contact Marin County Department of Public Works about proper signs.
POINT REYES STATION – At visitor reported at 2:51 p.m. a window broken and a back pack taken out of a parked vehicle at the Millerton Point trailhead.

POINT REYES STATION – At 7:06 a.m. restaurant employees reported a man getting loud with his ex in the restaurant. Man then left.

MARSHALL – A resident reported 1:43 p.m. making a noise complaint last night. A Deputy responded but resident says he didn’t check the area thoroughly. Deputy reported UTL, GOA. Resident found lots of alcohol containers, trash and human feces. Resident communicated how very unhappy he was with Sheriff’s deputies.
Sunday July 8
POINT REYES STATION –At 11:06 a.m., a caller to Sheriff’s dispatch center reported he heard a dog barking at the animal hospital that sounded as if in distress. Caller was unable to find an after-hours phone number for the animal hospital. Deputy checked the animal hospital where he heard several barking dogs, but was unable to confirm distress.
BOLINAS – A resident at 9:42 a.m. reported seven tents on Brighton Beach. Deputy advised the group of seven tents and two other solo tents there was no weekend camping. All the tents agreed to pack up and move on.
NICASIO –Callers reported at 12:28 p.m. a large party with light shows and loud music – reporting party said about 100 people. Deputy contacted the party hosts who turned down the music.
Saturday July 7
MARSHALL – At 9:47 p.m. a caller reported he could see 10 juveniles making a lot of noise and urinating in the bay. The loud juveniles were in several vehicles. Deputy was unable to locate.
STINSON BEACH – At 9:43 p.m. minor fireworks reported at Calle del Sierra. Deputy was unable to locate.
WOODACRE – 6:08 p.m. A resident at 6:08 p.m. reported loud music coming from what should be a vacant house. Deputy encountered a garage band. He reported they sounded pretty good. The band became familiar with the noise ordinance and promised to keep it down, but will continue to practice.
STINSON BEACH – At 4:48 p.m., fireworks reported at Sonoma Patio. Deputy confiscated fireworks for destruction. Over the Fourth holiday deputies confiscated an estimated 80 pounds of fireworks in West Marin.
BOLINAS – 7:22 a.m. A resident reported a man running around the neighborhood screaming for the past several hours. Resident reported the man was apparently drinking alcohol but there was no evidence of drugs or weapons. When deputy arrived the man was in his trailer being quiet. Advice given by deputy to resident and man.
Friday July 6
BOLINAS – At 10:52 p.m. a resident reported several people camping on the beach and setting off fireworks. Deputy made contact with six adults cooking food who agreed to leave the area. They had set off fireworks prior to arrival of deputy.
DILLON BEACH – At 4:37 p.m. a Lawson’s Landing employee reported a man, who appeared to be drunk, parked and passed out near the gate. The man had a nine-year-old girl with him. Deputy transported the man to Helen Vine detox center.
NICASIO – At 11:46 a.m. a resident reported a possibly disturbed man had killed her two cats. She wanted a report taken for documentation. Report filed.

STINSON BEACH – At 9:39 p.m. a resident reported fireworks at Calle del Pradero. Large group of revelers contacted by deputy and advised of complaint and ordinances.
DILLON BEACH – A caller at 5:36 p.m. reported a patient at Petaluma Valley Hospital was earlier assaulted at the beach. The reporting party said the victim was at the beach and jumped. Victim has facial injuries. Report taken for documentation. Victim did not want to talk to deputy or report the incident.
BOLINAS – A resident at 9:53 a.m. reported two brothers fighting. Deputy concluded there was no crime since there was no victim.
STINSON BEACH – At 12:28 a.m., loud party at Calle del Pradero reported.

FOREST KNOLLS – At 11:51 p.m. gunshots reported in canyon area.
SAN GERONIMO – At 11:50 p.m. fireworks reported near Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
DILLON BEACH – At 11 p.m. fireworks reported a Lawson’s Landing.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 10:53 p.m. fireworks reported in Forest Knolls.
INVERNESS – At 10:44 p.m., fireworks reported in Inverness.
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:13 p.m. a resident reported a barking dog. Deputy made contact with the barking dog’s owner who was encouraged to bring the dog inside. Deputy advised dog owner of doggie ordinance.
DILLON BEACH – At 9:39 p.m. fireworks reported at Dillon Beach.
STINSON BEACH – At 9:09 p.m. bonfire extinguished on Calle del Resaca.
WOODACRE – A resident complained at 7:37 p.m. of a loud party. Deputy was unable to locate.
STINSON BEACH – A driver reported at 3:53 p.m. his car was hit by a white pickup truck that drove off toward Mill Valley. There were no injuries. Highway Patrol to follow up.
BOLINAS – At 2:31 p.m. a resident reported the streets were full of illegally parked cars making it impossible for fire trucks to pass if needed. Deputy gave advice but no further action at this time.
POINT REYES STATION – At 10:18 a.m. a motorcycle doing wheelies reported.
WOODACRE – At 10:10 a.m. a resident reported a set of amplifiers and speakers were taken from a convertible overnight. The equipment was secured with chains and a padlock. Report filed.
BOLINAS – At 9:20 a.m. a bonfire reported on the beach.
Tuesday July 3
POINT REYES STATION – At 11:31 p.m. barking dogs reported on B street. Formal complaint posted by deputy on front door of dog owner’s residence.
BOLINAS – At 11:41 p.m. parking violations and fireworks reported.
BOLINAS – At 11:27 p.m., parking violation reported. The vehicle owner had locked his keys in the illegally parked car and was waiting for AAA.
STINSON BEACH – At 10:53 p.m., a resident reported a bonfire on the beach in front of a rental unit. Deputy made contact with the occupants who were having a party and unaware of bonfire restrictions. Bonfire extinguished.
BOLINAS – At 10:42 p.m. a 911 caller claimed a rabid deer was attacking him. Deputy was unable to locate any rabid deer or evil doers.
BOLINAS – At 5:34 p.m. a woman reported an unkempt man threatened to kill her and her daughter. She was walking on the beach and had never seen the man before. Deputy checked the area and was unable to locate. Rangers will contact the woman and attempt to contact the suspect.
INVERNESS – At 10:38 a.m. a woman reported her fanny pack and wallet stolen from the café the previous night. She placed the value at $600.
Monday July 2
STINSON BEACH – At 11:38 p.m. large amount of fireworks reported at the back of the school. Deputy was unable to locate.
BOLINAS – At 3:49 p.m. a man arrested for being drunk in public. He was booked into Marin County jail. His blood alcohol was estimated by a breathalyzer at .326 percent.
INVERNESS PARK – A woman at 10 a.m. reported seeing an older man walking his dogs collapse in the street. She immediately called for help. CPR was started quickly by bystanders and Inverness firefighters, however he did not revive. Coroner will issue report of cause of death. The man had history of heart problems.
Sunday July 1
BOLINAS – A resident of Park Ave. at 7:29 p.m. reported a man yelled and screamed at her 10-year-old son and his friends to stop playing tennis. Man too far away for her to provide a description. Deputy interviewed kids who reported the man intimidated them. Both parties agreed they would call Sheriff’s Office with any further problems at the courts.
BOLINAS – At 6:52 p.m. fireworks reported at Brighton near the Church. Deputy was unable to locate.
MUIR BEACH – At 6:33 p.m., a woman called seeking advice on what can be done to get her ex-pimp to jail. She has broken up with him and is living with relatives in the Strawberry area. Advice given.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 3:34 p.m., Highway Patrol fielded a call from a resident about a drinking driver. The resident reported she has a friend who had been drinking. The resident would like her to go to detox. Resident wanted advice about how to get her in a program. The woman driver arrested by Highway Patrol for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Investigation and arrest turned over to CHP. Advice given.
TOMALES – At 8:55 a.m. a resident of Whittaker Bluff Road reported all the windows broken out of unoccupied trailer overnight. No entry gained through building. Resident heard nor saw anything. Report filed.
BOLINAS – A caller advised Dispatch at 12:23 a.m. there were problems with approximately 50 underage kids drinking outside a concert. Deputy moved the juveniles along. Concert over.
Saturday June 30
STINSON BEACH – At 10:59 p.m., fireworks reported on Calle del Pradero.
STINSON BEACH – At 10 p.m. a resident reported a bonfire on beach at Calle Del Arroyo. Resident could see six juveniles and another bonfire in the distance. Deputy made contact with beach party – fireworks stopped and bonfires out.
BOLINAS – At 6:45 p.m. dispatchers received a report of a resident’s 15-year-old son throwing things and cursing at her. No weapons were present. Son agreed – with prompting from Deputy – to not to get mad and throw things.
PLATFORM BRIDGE cross of Sir Francis Drake – At 5:15 p.m. a vehicle reported off the roadway with two elderly occupants. Marin Fire dispatched for medical check out. State Parks made the arrest for driving under the influence of intoxicants, and Highway Patrol filed reports on the crash.
Friday June 29
STINSON BEACH – At 10:36 p.m., fireworks reported on beach on Calle del Pradero Deputy was unable to locate.
BOLINAS – A 5:40 p.m. report of fireworks use by juveniles at rear of liquor store.
BOLINAS – A resident of Horseshoe Hill at 10:19 a.m., reported a mountain lion. The big cat was spotted near a home with children and pets. Deputy determined big cat was really a coyote.
Thursday June 28
STINSON BEACH – At 9:38 p.m. fireworks reported on Del Ribera. All quiet on arrival of Deputy. Probable source of fireworks moved along.
MARSHALL – Sheriff’s dispatchers received a report at 2:18 p.m. of five men with three pickup trucks parked along the road drinking beer and urinating in ocean.

POINT REYES STATION – A mother at 9:42 p.m. reported her ex-husband inappropriately touched her 16-year-old daughter. Report taken for 243 PC sexual battery by 16-year-old’s stepfather.
Monday June 25
INVERNESS – At 2:58 p.m. a resident requested advice about a woman who is disruptive at AA meetings. Resident said she is an ongoing problem at meetings. Advice given.
Sunday June 24
POINT REYES STATION – At 4:35 p.m. horses reported loose along Petaluma-Pt Reyes Road. Deputy secured the horses.
INVERNESS PARK – At 1:15 p.m. a resident reported an adult man with Alzheimer’s was missing for past three and a half hours. Subject located and returned home by Rangers.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident 2:03 p.m. reported a threat from her neighbor. She feared for her safety. Deputy investigated and reported there was no merit to any criminal threats. Both party’s stories were identical about on ongoing issue with resident’s dogs loose in the neighborhood.
STINSON BEACH – At12:09 a.m. a loud party reported on Del Resaca. Contact made by Deputy with party host. Party of about 20 adults had their loud music turned down.
Saturday June 16
NICASIO – A resident reported at 10:24 p.m. a car ran off Nicasio Valley Road. Marin County Sheriff's Office assisted Highway Patrol with the arrest of a man – off to jail for driving while drunk
STINSON BEACH – A resident report fireworks at 9:57 p.m. He said they were ongoing for the last 30 minutes. Deputy made contact with beachgoers who claimed there were no fireworks. Deputy did not hear or see fireworks.
MUIR BEACH – A beachgoer reported at 7:45 p.m. a broken window and theft from her car. A $20 bag taken. Report filed.
BOLINAS – A resident at 3:52 p.m. reported a threat of arson to her trailer. She was the witness/victim in a complaint on June 9. She gave a description and a name of the man who threatened her. He was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for felony PC 136.1A, threatening a witness.
TOMALES – At 2:24 p.m. a motorist reported a motorcycle accident on Shoreline Highway. Marin County Sheriff's Office assisted Tomales Fire volunteers and medics. Bodega Bay ambulance transported and Highway Patrol did the accident investigation.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported at 12:09 a.m. a barking dog. Deputy attempted to contact the dog owner who was not home.
BOLINAS – A loud and unruly drunk was arrested on Wharf Road at 11:55 p.m.

BOLINAS – A resident reported at 8:54 p.m. fireworks on Brighton beach. Deputy heard nor saw any evidence of fireworks.
POINT REYES STATION – 1:45 p.m., A 4th Street resident at 1:45 p.m. reported the theft of a civil war era umbrella valued at $500.
DILLON BEACH – A vacation rental manager reported a burglary. Report filed.
Wednesday June 13
CHILENO VALLEY – A caller at 9:58 p.m., alerted Highway Patrol of a cow in the roadway. CHP requested Marin County Sheriff's assistance. Cow returned to rancher’s pasture by Deputy.
BOLINAS – A resident at 9:42 p.m., reported hearing fireworks for the past 45 minutes, Deputy was Deputy was unable to locate. Deputy reported all quiet on his arrival.
Tuesday June 12
OLEMA – At 9:29 p.m., a vehicle rollover reported near the church in Olema. Arriving Deputy and firefighters found a pickup crashed into a power pole. Two patients were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital trauma center. A 16-year-old Latino man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 30-year-old driver had minor injuries and was arrested for driving with three times the legal limit of alcohol on board. PGE responded to repair the pole and secure the downed power lines.
INVERNESS PARK – At 9:05 p.m., a caller reported a reckless and speeding pickup truck on Sir Francis Drake. Caller gave a description that was broadcast to local deputies. This vehicle crashed at 9:29 p.m. in Olema.
STINSON BEACH – A resident reported at 3:41 p.m., that while digging in his backyard he found three very old revolvers. The guns were so deteriorated they could not be identified.
OLEMA – A caller at 2:29 p.m. reported a calf in possible distress along Shoreline Highway. Deputy was Deputy was unable to locate and reported the calf probably found its way home.
INVERNESS PARK – A resident reported some men working for a neighbor were on her property. At 9:07 a.m., Deputies provided “civil standby” while a wood chipper was moved off of her property. Wood chipper and associated debris removed. This was a trespassing dispute.
DILLON BEACH – At 8:13 a.m. resident reported her housekeeper had stolen money, credit cards, a camera and jewelry. Report filed. She had earlier reported the theft but was unsure of the identity of the thief.
WOODACRE – A resident at 10:19 p.m., reported drumming next door. His neighbor was practicing his drumming accompanied by very loud music. The resident reported the neighbor set his drums up outside. He said the drumming starts about 9:30 continuing until 11 p.m. Deputy reported all quiet on his arrival and he was unable to locate the drums or drummer.
Monday June 11
DILLON BEACH – A resident reported a domestic dispute at 7:55 p.m. A wife assaulted her husband with a deadly weapon. She was arrested and booked into jail on PC 245(A)(1). No further information released.
WOODACRE – At 12:30 p.m. an 8-year-old retaliating against his father’s discipline called 911. Father reported he had curtailed the son’s excessive computer usage. Boy counseled on use of 911 and computer abuse.
FOREST KNOLLS – At 10:45 a.m. vandalism reported at a construction site. $430 of damage occurred over the weekend.
NICASIO – A rancher at 7:07 a.m. reported 900 feet of copper wire taken over the weekend from his vineyard. Thieves pulled underground service wires out of the ground. Rancher said wire valued at $20,000. Report filed.
Sunday June 10
INVERNESS – At 3:22 p.m., a resident reported a vehicle break-in and theft of goods. Report filed.
STINSON BEACH – At 10:59 a.m., a shop owner reported a rental surfboard was not returned the day before. Surfboard valued at $400 to $500.
FOREST KNOLLS – A resident reported at 3:18 a.m. burglary. He suspects someone came in through the sliding gas door and took liquor. He checked the house and suspects were already gone. Report filed.
BOLINAS – A 12:28 a.m. fight along Overlook Dr. resulted in an arrest of one man for assault and battery and vandalism. He had threatened three separate victims.
Saturday June 9
STINSON BEACH – At 10:15 p.m., fireworks reported at Calle Del Pradero. Deputy left the area after hearing no fireworks for 30 minutes. Similar report made from Bolinas with the same silence for 30 minutes.
DILLON BEACH – 1:31 p.m., A large group of vacation renters in two separate houses were asked to leave by management. They held a large party in violation of the rental agreement. Marin County Sheriff's Office sent two deputies. The renters later went to the rental office and acted aggressively. Renters were using alcohol. They left before a second team of Deputies responded.
Wednesday June 6
BOLINAS – Call received at 10:16 p.m. about a man yelling at someone. The mother of young children was so disturbed about the yelling she reported the incident to Marin County Sheriff's Office. Deputy made contact with the yeller. The man was upset that his roommate had unplugged the electricity. Deputy advised him to not yell. He was cooperative and agreed. No further action required.
BOLINAS – A resident reported at 1:13 p.m. receiving a phone call asking for her private banking information. The caller claimed to be from the “Security Center for Bolinas.” She refused to be duped.
WOODACRE – At 7:19 a.m., A resident reported a diamond necklace and her wallet taken from her home. Entry made through bathroom window. Report filed.
Monday June 4
WOODACRE – At 8:06 p.m. a resident reported by cell phone a loud motorcycle. Highway Patrol asked Marin County Sheriff's Office to respond. Deputy in the area saw only one motorcycle. No violations observed.
SAN GERONIMO – At 11:49 a.m. the principal at Lagunitas school reported five laptops taken during break-in on Sat. Likely entry thru the broken window caused by a computer monitor in the entry below 6/3. Report filed.
